The Disappearance
I don't usually work on Saturdays, but Miss Mary asked for my help with all the extra orders. It seems our Halloween cookies are a hit with all the stores. The two stores in the city put in extra large orders this week. I was in the back when I heard the front bell ring.
"Candy, are you in here somewhere?"
"Yes, I am in the back."
"Can I come back there? I need to talk to you."
"Sure, come on back through the double doors."
I was totally surprised when I saw Dolly standing there. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why she wanted to talk to me.
