Maddie still couldn't get her thoughts to settle down. Tossing and turning, she decided to retreat to the guest room. Her mind kept hearing over and over how Candy got two good swings in. One to the side and one to the stomach. It can't be Nathan. It just can't be, she kept telling herself. Crying herself to sleep with a heavy heart.
"Good morning, Candy."Jacob said as he entered the bedroom."How are you feeling this morning?"
