A blessing disguised
Sitting at the table, Maddie waits for Nathan to come inside.
"I know you said you would think about it. I just want to know if you have made any decisions yet."
Looking like a mad perfessor, Nathan sits and stares at her. "So you want to know if I made any decisions yet. Well, let me tell you, I have and I won't change my mind." He says, trying to act all mad and huffy.
Not being sure what to say or do. Maddie sits there like a lost child twiddling her thumbs.
"Here is my decision. You can or I should say we can apply for the adoption under one condition."
Overwhelmed with excitement, no words came out when she tried to speak. Maddie shook her head yes.
"My one condition is I get to name him."
Just out of her seat with tears flowing like rain, Maddie runs to
