Clea Mair’s Pov

Hindi ko alam kung ano ang trip ni Andrel.

Nang makarating kasi kami sa warehouse na nire-rentahan namin sa Henan Port, nakisali pa siya sa mga tumutulong na magpasok ng mga items namin. Parang pinangatawanan niya ang pagpapanggap na empleyado dito.

I was about to stop him but I could see that he was enjoying what he was doing so I just let him do what he wanted and just watch him.

“Seems like he finally gave up.”

Mabilis akong bumaling sa gilid ko at nakitang nakatayo na pala sa tabi ko si Leon.

Nakatingin din siya kay Andrel at mukhang wala din siyang planong pigilan ito sa ginagawa. “He even sneaked here just to approach you.”

“And it looks like it didn’t surprise you.”

Tumingin siya sa akin at ngumiti. “I have been with him since we were still a kid so I know how he does things he wants,” he said. “Especially when it involves the people that he likes.”

“Does it mean you know everything about him?” I asked. “Even when he was still in the Reveni Empire?”

Hindi siya nagdalawang-isip na tumango. “You want to know something about him?”

“Is Henan really his last name?” mabilis kong tanong. “Is he the second prince of the Reveni Empire? The one that was supposed to be the heir to the throne but because the previous emperor didn’t leave any will, the eldest claimed it?”

“Yeah,” sagot niya. “He is that Andrel Raven Henan.”

Ibinalik ko ang tingin kay Andrel.

Malaking angkan ang Henan. At halos lahat ng direktang nagmula sa kanila ay ginagamit ang apelyidong iyon kaya nang malaman ko ang tungkol kay Andrel ay iniisip kong member lang siya ng branch family nito.

It never occurred to me that he came from the main branch of Henan Clan and almost succeeded his father in becoming the emperor of that country.

Yes, he has this princely charm and natural authority in his aura but there is no news that a prince of the Reveni Empire lives here.

Or maybe he hid that fact from everyone.

Isang malaking isyu sa mga Azaria ang mga Henan. Matagal na panahon na nilang tinatrabaho ang angkan na iyon. They want to have connections with them so that they could easily infiltrate their empire.

The marriage that my family arranged for me that got held because of my sudden request to have at least a short time of freedom was with someone from the main branch of the Henan Clan.

“Are you still afraid that you and he might still not work despite knowing his real identity?” Leon asked and I immediately looked at him. “You were afraid of what your family would do to him, right? That is why you were trying your best to avoid him even though you also like him.”

“You know my identity?”

“Two years ago,” aniya. “Your family sent your profile for the marriage interview that the Henan Clan announced. You were picked that time, right?”

“You know my identity right before we even met,” I said. “Was it one of the reasons why you changed the venue of our first meeting back then?”

“Oh.” Umiling-iling siya. “It was completely coincidental. Boss really had an urgent matter to take care of at Yain City that time. Though, now that you mentioned it, hindi nga din pala basta nakakapasok sa siyudad na iyon ang mga tauhan ng matatanda sa angkan niyo, noh?”

Yain City was almost an independent state of Hexoria Kingdom. Well, they are abiding by the law of this country but the marquess of the city forbids anyone from Azaria Clan or the people working for them without permission from the marquess.

The marquess didn't really like our clan but they respected us, as the ruler of this country. They are doing their duty to us but in return, they don’t want us to step our feet inside Yain City if we only bring nothing but hostility there.

Kaya naging safe haven na ang Yain City ng mga taong pinag-iinitan ng mga Azaria.

Tulad na lamang ng pamilya Flerry na noon ay nakaalitan ng duke ng Axia Region.

“Now that you know his identity, are you still going to avoid him?” Leon asked.

I looked at Andrel again.

Well, if he is part of the Henan Clan of the Reveni Empire, I don’t think my family will do bad things to him once they learn that I am close to him.

I don’t know why but I heard that they will never lay a hand on a Henan. That is why I now know for sure that he will be safe from the Azaria Clan.

But…

I am arranged to marry his brother, the current emperor of the Reveni Kingdom, Aden Revin Henan.

I don’t think it is right to involve myself romantically with my future brother-in-law.

“Boss Andrel will not ask for something that you can never give,” Leon added. “And he will surely not put you in a complicated situation. He just wants to take advantage of the chances that he can be with you even just for a while.”

“Even just for a while.”

We both know that we are not really meant for each other. And we both just wanted to make the most of this chance that we had to be with each other.

Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko habang nakatitig kay Andrel na ngayon ay nakangiting palapit sa akin.

But am I allowed to take this kind of step? As I said, it will only lead to nothing but trouble for both of us.

“Still scared to take a risk?” He was finally standing in front of me. “Don’t worry, we can keep everything a secret. You just have to trust me, Clea Mair.” Inilahad niya ang kamay sa harap ko. “I can promise you that you and I will not regret this.”

Huminga ako ng malalim at agad na tinanggap ang kamay niya.

Siguro nga ay nagsisimula na akong maging makasarili. Dahil sa mga oras na ito, wala na akong ibang gustong gawin kung hindi ang makasama lang ang lalaking ito.

Kahit alam kong posible lang itong maging dahilan upang magkagulo ang pamilya ko.
