I was desperate to see Bianca and that was what ultimately drove me to get in the car and go to Lucien’s house. I hated that she had chosen him and not me, but I tried not to let it get to me too much. However, as I pulled up outside of his house, I saw someone leaving and I immediately jumped out of my car.
“Evelyn? No, Elizabeth?” the woman froze, and I saw Lucien standing in the doorway with a frown, but all I could focus on was the woman.
“Lord Dante,” she quickly said as she bowed her head in respect. I was simply too shocked to be seeing her here of all places.
“What are you doing here?” I couldn’t stop myself from asking.
“Business,” Lucien snapped as he waved me forward. I remained rooted to my spot clearly, I didn’t take orders from the likes of him.
