Chapter 9

-Axel P.O.V.- 

Who knew that I would be waking up this morning marked and mated. I cannot express how whole I feel and how loved I feel. When he said he loved me, my heart exploded and my wolf told me to claim him as ours, officially. I already knew that I loved him when I met him. He is the only thing on this planet who can make me feel or make me happy. I have wandered through this life aimlessly and now I have someone who has made me see that there is more to life than what I was doing. 

I have always acted on anger since I am a Demon Wolf and nobody has ever been able to help me. But I could feel that Forrest calms me. I was ready to tear my father apart and one touch from him was enough for me to stop. He is going to be good for this pack as he will keep them from my wrath. I am thrown out of my thoughts when my mate curls his body further into me. I wrap my arms around him tighter and he smiles against my skin. I leaned down and kissed the top of his head. 

"Good morning, love." My handsome mate tells me as I pull back from his head. 

"Good morning, my handsome king." I could feel that made him giddy as he squirms in my arms. 

My morning is interrupted when I get a mind-link from my mother. 

Mom: We need to have a family meeting. 

Me: I am honestly not interested. 

Mom: This is important. This needs to be fixed....

I cut off the mind-link as I didn't really want to deal with her. Whatever this family meeting is about, CAN WAIT. I am thrown out of my thoughts when I feel a kiss on my chest. 

"Calm down, love. I can feel your anger." My handsome mate tells me as he looks up at me. 

"I am sorry, mate. How about we clean up and head down to breakfast?" I ask him as I cup his cheek and rub my thumb back and forth. He leans into my touch and smiles. 

"Sounds perfect." 

We both get out of bed and head into the shower, where we clean each other. We would have been doing things, but we were so hungry that we were rushing. Once we got out and dried off, we headed over to the closest and threw on some clothes. I picked out some shorts with a simple t-shirt and some sneakers. While my handsome mate picked out some shorts, a tank-top, and a pair of flip-flops. We would need to be either shopping or ordering my mate some clothes soon even though I would love to see him in mine every day. After we finished getting ready, we headed down to the dinning room where some of the pack were eating. 

We entered the dining room and everyone looked up to see me holding my mate's hand and how he had my mark, and my pack members bowed to both of us. It was a great feeling knowing that they accepted him. Once I took my place at the head of the table and Forrest was beside me, an omega brought out two plates filled with food and placed them in front of us. Forrest thanked her before I even had the chance and she smiled at him. 

I leaned over and kissed his cheek. "You are already winning over my pack." I whisper in his ear before I pull away. 

"So, are we training today?" My Beta asks me. 

"Yes. We need to get ready because someone threatened this pack and my mate, your second Alpha." 

All of a sudden, the whole dining room erupted in growls as my pack members were angry at the fact that someone had the balls to disrespect their Alpha and them. I raised my hand and they all stopped. 

"Listen well, I am so honored to have you as my pack members as you are not tolerating disrespect towards your second Alpha and I could not be more honored." I tell my warriors/the people in the dining room as the whole dining room erupted again. 

"Whoop. Whoop. Whoop." They all chant while I look over to see my mate just smiling away. 

I moved my hand over to grip his hand and I could feel every emotion that was rushing through his body. He was feeling: happiness, accepted, loved, and whole. The moment between my pack members and my mate is ruined when my mother walks in. My mood drops as everyone can feel it in the air, and they all stop. Forrest keeps a hold of my hand and wraps his other hand on my arm. The pack members just get up and walk out of the kitchen as I stare my mother down. Once everyone is gone, she speaks. 

"How dare you ignore my mind-link and you also cut me off!" 

"You wanted a family meeting and I did not." I answer her with no emotion in my voice. 

"You need to get your butt up in your office, RIGHT NOW!" 

My eyes snap to my mother and she knows that she f**ked up. I slowly rise up from my seat and I place my fists on the table as I lean forward. I look deep into my mothers eyes as I smile darkly. 

"What makes you think that you can tell me what to do?" She gulps as she looks at me. I was about to say something else, but I felt Forrest wrap his arms around my arm which calmed me down. He then took me by surprise when he spoke. 

"May I ask, what the meeting is about and can I be there to calm my mate down?" He asks politely. 

"Of course, I would never not allow you to not enter. Please come." My mother quickly speaks. 

I nod as I push away from the table and I grip onto my mate's hand while we follow my mother to my office. This better be good or I will raise hell.
