Chapter 5: Heartbreaks and Disappointments
Henry could not cry. He did not know how to and he wished he did. He wished he knew how to cry so he could express these burning emotions in his heart. The pageantry was in five days’ time. He went to his sister’s room to hear what she had to say about it. Her lover, Tim, had already gone back to Abington. Dickson had gone back to and would be back to grace the pageantry. Henry did not even care so much about the pageantry again. He had realized that he had fallen into a trap and he needed help to get out of it. He did not want to force Eunice to be his. He was aware that she was in love with another already. He did not want to break the bond which she already had with her lover. Of course, he knew she would gladly say yes to him without thinking
