Chapter 6: Acaisia's P.O.V

We have a deal with the Fae realm that makes it so we can only teleport to one spot. I've broken that rule a few times, but no one needs to know that. The spot we are to teleport to is the gates of the Fae castle. Whether it be the Dark Fae or Light, we are only to teleport to the gates of the castle. It's the most guarded area in the land, which makes sense. When we arrived I looked around to find only three men waiting for us. Huh, I expected there to be more. Each man is huge, tall like my brother Ambrose, but not as buff. They were wearing armor that reminded me of medieval times. One man was much darker skinned than the other two. Silver freckles lined his dark cheeks and nose, while golden eyes stared back at me. "You are from the Anderson school?" The chocolate hunk asked. "We are." I responded with a sweet smile. I let my eyes rake over the mans body, but he didn't seem to care at all. Hmm. Must me mated, or gay. Oh well. "I am Ralee. This is Amos," He pointed to one of the men. This one os so white he almost glowed in the moon light. His eyes are black, a stark contrast of his skin. He didn't show any emotion, just like Ralee. "And this is Eden." Ralee pointed to the other man. This one actually offered us a smile. Finally someone nice. He's shorter than the other two, but only by a couple of inches. Eden is a white man, but not as white as Amos. His eyes are a bright green that I swear are glowing. "I'm Acaisia. This is my sister Ahkari." I introduced us. Ralee grunted in response. "Follow us." He said turning on his heel. Ahkari and I shared a look before following behind them. The three men lead us into the woods. I looked all around me at the large trees with glowing moss on them. Mushrooms grew out of the trees giving homes to all kinds of Fae creatures. After what seemed like hours we stopped in front of a large cave. And I do mean large. The entrance is probably 30 feet tall. The three men stopped at the entrance, and I peered into the darkness. Weird, I can't see anything. Being a Werewolf and Vampire, I'm able to see in the dark. So, why can't I see through this? Selma? I asked my wolf. No idea. But there is something wrong in there. She told me. Something wrong? I asked. Selma shrugged. I don't know how to explain it. Can't you feel it? She asked. I looked over at Ahkari to see her peering into the cave with the same look. She turned to me before we both turned back to the cave. I focused on the energy surrounding the cave, and felt what Selma meant. Chills creeped up skin leaving goosebumps in their wake. I took a step back, and looked over at the men. "What's in there?" I asked. Ralee gave me a stern look. "We don't know." He said. I raised a brow at him. "None of your men have went in there to investigate yet?" I asked. "We have sent 20 men into that cave. Not one has returned." He told me. "Oh shit." I mumbled. Turning my attention back to the cave the same chills came over me. "Has anything came out?" I asked. Ralee nodded his head. "Yes, and it is draining the forest." The large man moved to the side, and pointed at the ground. I followed his finger to the forest floor. Black roots that were coming out of the side of the cave, were growing across the bright green plants. Everything the black roots touched lost it's color and laid underneath it, dead. I frowned. What do you wanna do? Ahkari asked me through the link. Let's go in. I suggested. Ahkari scoffed in my head. You wanna go in there? I walked up to my twin, and shrugged. "What's the worst that could happen?" I asked. "I think maybe we should camp out for a few days, and then go in." Ahkari suggested. "Done." I said, and then turned to the men. "Can you please provide us with a tent perhaps?" I asked. Ralee grunted. The other two men walked off. I looked Ralee up and down. "They will get your supplies. But my men will not camp out with you." He stated gruffly. "Noted." I murmured. We didn't have to wait long for them to return. They even set up everything for us. Only as soon as they were done they left. Pussies. Ahkari and I took turns sleeping, and watching the cave for the next few days. So far nothing happened. On the third night I was watching as my twin slept. The air around me shifted slightly. Everything went eerily still. Air whooshed out of the cave entrance, and I watched as the black roots extended about 12 more feet. Kari wake up. I told my twin. Seconds later she was at my side. Her eyes instantly found the growing black roots. She turned her head to look at me. Silently we wondered what to do next. A gut wrenching scream sounded from the cave, and our decision was made for us. The two of us took off into the cave without thinking. After running for what felt like 30 straight minutes we slowed. We still couldn't see anything. Our senses are going haywire. Selma is alert as if we were surrounded, and that's what it feels like. Finally Ahkari and I found a light. We walked towards it. A sheer layer of magic covered this entry way. I pressed my hand to it, and felt the tingles of magic run up my arm. Looking through it you could see an entirely different world on the other side. Sunlight is shining brightly across fields of flowers. A small caslte sat on top of a hill in the distance. In another corner is a waterfall that falls into a pool of glowing teal water. What really caught my attention is the gaint black tree that sits in the middle. It looks out of place in the bright colors around it. The black tree's roots are extended across the land, and through the magical barrier. So that's where they came from. Ahkari and I looked at each other, and nodded. Right when we were about to walk through, something grabbed me from behind, and yanked me back. A creature that was shaped like a man, but was made up of large black worm like things. They have the mouth of a leech, It sprung to attack me. I fought them off, but it was hard when they just kept multiplying. One jumped from the rest, and bit a hole in my arm. It squirmed it's way inside my body, and I screamed. My twin was at my side in a moment. She teleported us back home immediately. Thankfully we were able to teleport from that place. Ahkari landed us in Tia's office. Max's eyes snapped up to meet ours. "It's about time you guys got here. You were supposed to be here hours ago." He scolded us. "What?" Ahkari asked. Hours ago? We weren't due back for another day and a half. Max stared at us questioningly. He opened his mouth to say something when intense pain shot through me. Screaming, I doubled over in pain, and then the thing inside of me knocked me back taking a chair down with me. "What the hell?" Max asked. Ahkari got on her knees, and forced me to lay back. My body is bucking as the creature slitered through me. I screamed again. "We have to get it out. Where is it Acaisia?" Ahkari rushed out. "Get what out?" Max asked worried. I ripped my shirt open, and Max groaned. "Come on Acaisia, I don't need to see you in your bra." Max complained. "Shut up!" I gritted out. Looking down I see the thing slitering inside of me, and I started to freak out. "Get it out of me!" I screeched. "How?" Ahkari asked. I gripped her shirt, and yanked her down to me. "Cut me open! I don't care! Just get it out!" I shouted. Ahkari looked down at me worried. SShe's unsure of what to do, and doesn't want to hurt me. I rolled my eyes, and pulled out a knife from my pocket. Without hesitation I stabbed my stomach and drug the blade down ripping myself open. I pulled the thing out from me, and threw it across the room. Thankfully someone in the room could do something. Max snapped his fingers, and the thing was caught in a jar. Relief flooded through me. I'm still bleeding out, but my woud is healing fast. Ahkari helped me to my feet, and I wobbled. She held me up, and then a small group of people came crashing through the room. Robby caught my eye first, but then the most intoxicating scent hit my nose. Hot chocolate and pine, reminding me of the hoildays. Damn, that smells better than my mate did. I wonder if Belle is making something new. The answer hit me like a cold bucket of water when the sexiest man I've ever laid eyes on walked in. His bright blue eyes connected with mine, and I felt my world crumble. Selma went insane inside my head. MATE! She screamed over and over. "Oh no." I managed to whisper before the life left me completely.
