Chapter 9 I had a feeling about Haynsworth’s house, and it wasn’t a good one. James might have told me he didn’t want me investigating, but I needed as much information as I could obtain. His safety might depend on it. It was a little more than four miles to Mayfair, and I planned to walk, rather than taking the chance I might be seen by a nosey rider of the tube or the night bus.
