We should go to mate and demand answers. My wolf whined the same thing for the hundredth time.  I get it that I was harsh in judging him. That's why I'm not rejecting him, yet but if I find out he has slept with any other woman after he met us then I'll reject him. I said sternly but there was a pang of lying guilt in between my words. When I smelt my mate's smell on that she-wolf I lost all senses of right and wrong.  I ended up thinking the worst and acted on impulse. Now that my anger has blown down, I'm feeling rather ashamed that I reacted that way. I judged my mate without knowing the whole truth.  I felt guilt gripping at my heart as I remembered my mate's painful howl. He has to be near to hear my thoughts. I had forgotten mates can feel what his other half is feeling as well as hear their thoughts, and hence I forgot to put the barrier between us that ended up with him hearing those hurtful words. That's why I've put up the barrier between us the first thing in the morning.  I already told you our mate will never betray us. My wolf smiled smugly and I had to roll my eyes at her.  It's not confirmed yet. We have to ask our so-called mate if he has betrayed us or not. She growled at me, not liking the fact that I don't trust our mate. Did he give us any reason to trust him? I asked her but all she did was growl at me, louder this time, then blocked our link. She sulked in the corner and I resisted to urge to bang my head down at the table as I listen to her colourful curses. "Alpha, we should double our security near the borders. I think it's too much of a coincidence that we keep finding rogues near our border", the head warrior, Josh said hesitantly, efficiently cutting the thoughts of my mate. Today I had decided to held a meeting with all the warriors. I want to change the strategy for security. I feel the current strategy is not good enough to protect us from strong attackers, like my mate. I stared at my warriors. I can feel their fear, they fear that the Rogue Alpha will come back to attack them. I wanted to assure them that they don't have to fear that but that'll be plain bullshit, especially when I'm planning on changing the strategy to defend my pack against him.  "I have made a plan for that", I pointed towards the map and all of the members listened attentively.  "Our pack is vulnerable to attack because of our patrolling", I pointed out how anyone can easily cross our borders undetected whenever the patrollers patrol the pack. When they patrol, they leave the few places unprotected and that gives the chance to anyone to enter the pack.  "It leaves a gap in between and anyone can cross the border if they're spying on our patrol timing for a while", a pack member commented in understanding.  "Yes, that's why we'll do this from now on", I explained to them by pointing it out on the map. The furrow of their brows shows they're listening carefully.  "Instead of working in a group, I'm going to place each member a few feet away", I said and they all nodded in understanding. "If anyone ever attacks we'll be able to detect them, at the same time we all will be able to reach each other rather quickly if anything goes wrong", another pack member comments and I nod my head. I tapped my hands twice then raised my eyebrows at Josh, silently asking for his opinion.  "That's a really good plan, Alpha. This way we'll be able to cover all the parts", Josh nodded, impressed. A small smile graced my lips as I looked down at the map once more. I'll never say it aloud but I'm relieved that they like my plan. What impressed me, even more, was the trust in their eyes along with respect and proud. I have to say it is a major boost for my ego. "But where will you find that many warriors?", Beta Issac just have to ruin my happiness and ask with a nasty curl of his lips, his yellow, disgusting teeth showing past his pale, chapped lips. "We have females in this pack. We'll train them to be a warrior", I commented and it seems it enraged Beta Issac as he slammed his hands on the table. "Ridiculous. We're going to let a bunch of females protect the pack?", he snarled at me and it took every ounce of control from me to not rip his throat out with my bare hands. "What are you trying to imply, Beta? That the females can't protect the pack?", I asked with a raised brow. My lips curled up, coldly and I let my Alpha aura out without holding back, intimidating him. He gulped in fright but didn't back off like I wanted him to. "Yes, they're only good for f**k and breed", he nodded as if his statement is right. Rage coursed through me at his comment. I heard some of the pack members growled in anger at his statement and I'm glad not all of the male in my pack are sexist bastard like Issac. "Are you forgetting that a female rules this pack?", I stood up from my seat. From the outside, I was calm and collected but the same can't be said from the inside. Inside I was bubbling from anger. "You are no Alpha", he spat at my feet, disrespecting me. My nose flared in anger and my wolf took over. I let her come forward and take control.  In a flash, my hands gripped his neck and using full force I slammed his body on the table, squeezing his neck tightly. My eyes glowed, letting everyone know my wolf is in control.  "It will do you good if you know your place, Beta", I spat out, my voice loud and confident, dripping with authority. The other pack members looked down as their body shivered.  "I will not take nicely to any disrespect", I said as I twisted his neck harshly. A satisfying crunch sounded under my hands and it satisfied my wolf.  "Take him to the dungeons and inject him with wolfsbane for two weeks", the eyes of the pack members widened visibly but none objected to my decision. Wolfsbane prevents any werewolf from shifting and it's painful when injected into the bloodstream. It doesn't kill our wolf but it's strong enough to make any wolf get crazy and deranged. It's extremely dangerous if it's used on any werewolf for a long time and two weeks is enough to make any wolf weak and on the verge of getting crazy. Josh nodded his head and dragged his body away. "May this set as an example that I will not take lightly to anyone who disrespects me. The meeting is adjourned", I ordered as I made my way out of the Conference room of our packhouse.  The pack warriors bowed as I crossed them, showing me their loyalty and submitting to me.  A proud smirk adorned the corner of my lips, which soon dismissed as I remember how Beta Issac challenged my authority in front of everyone. My temper flared once again and my wolf whined at me to go and kill that useless mutt but I don't want to create any misunderstanding between my dad and me so I controlled the temptation of bathing in his blood.  "Today I'll not eat with everyone so store my food in the fridge", I ordered the kitchen staff and left the kitchen as soon as possible. I may be able to control my anger but I'm beyond angry and I don't want to risk taking my anger out on any innocent person.  So, I went to my room and took a cold shower to cool the anger down. And it somewhat worked and by the time I got out of the shower I was in a normal mood.  ***
