Camilla’s POV He was right, the question was valid because now I regret ever being here. I could’ve been anywhere else but fate decided to play a cruel game with me. “I… it’s… I’m.” I shivered, his cold fingers under my chin as his pheromones and that of his brothers kept hitting me so bad I had no idea how long I could hold on for. “In case you haven’t noticed something, WE DO NOT REPEAT OURSELVES!” The other yelled from behind me, making me jump in fear. “I… I’m sorry, I was hunting for a job and….” “A job?” The one in front of me cut in and I nodded affirmatively, “What’s your name?” He asked, his eyes still boring into mine. “Camilla.” I answered, my voice breaking as the words came out of my mouth, averting my gaze, I broke eye contact. He finally left and I let out a breath that I didn’t know I’ve been holding for so long. I’ve been bullied before but I always handled things and never in my life have I ever felt intimidated but things were different with these triplets. They do not only intimidate and scare me, they arouse me and that’s even more scary because I have never felt this way for anyone before. My body tingled and the excitement grew as the trio stood together, how are they so identical and how could anyone tell them apart? The only one I could tell apart was the one with short hair, he was even more intimidating and handsome than the other two, he has a big ego and his air reeks of command. “Masters,” the lady’s voice that I’d heard earlier jolted me out of my thoughts as she walked in, “oh, you met her already.” She added. “Yeah, we have.” The more intimidating one answered, he doesn’t seem like one who said too much. Asking the lady whose name I’ve come to know is Emma to hand my files over to him which she did and after carefully going through the paper I’d submitted, he dismissed her before having his seat. The two others stood behind him like they were his bodyguards and I just couldn’t miss the way they seemed to work together but there was only one who the other two seemed to be scared of. Nervously, I squeezed the hem of my skirt as I waited for them to decide my fate but as much as I needed the job because of the heavy and mouth watering pay, I really wanted them to reject me and just order me to leave their house. Looking away from my feet and trying to steal a glance at the triplets, my excitement hadn't gone away and my heart kept beating so fast that I thought they were going to jump out of my chest. Almost everything on that paper was nothing but blatant lies because I didn’t state the actual reason I was here in that paper but how do I tell them I’m a witch on the run for her life? The fact that I’m a witch would only make them want to kill me. Taking in his facial features as silence prevailed in the room and the only thing that could be heard were faint footsteps of others outside the room we were in. His lips were firm and sensual and despite being extremely serious he still looked appealing to me. His other brothers looking over his shoulder made me start thinking of things I never saw myself thinking about even in a million years. Something in there must’ve caught their eyes because their facial expression changed and I could tell that they were interested as the three of them shared a glance. Their profile spoke of power and ageless strength, their arms were strong and I couldn’t stop imagining myself wrapped in their arms. “What are you doing?” I asked myself as I tapped my chest, something I do whenever my heart starts beating fast. Really, what am I doing? I’m only here because I was running from the coven, I was running from a bunch of creatures that wanted to kill me. I’m here because I wanted to protect myself. But despite running this far, I only came in contact with the worst creatures ever, my worst enemies and my greatest fear and as if that wasn’t enough, I am getting attracted to not one but the three of them! My body was reacting strangely to them and I really tried to look away but I couldn’t. I couldn’t tear my gaze away from them. The one that was sitting leaned over to take a pen on the table and started scribbling something on my paper. “So,” his deep baritone jolted me out of my thoughts and I shook the horrible thought that I was having about them out of my head, “you’re not doing much here right, you just want to be a maid?” He asked as if it wasn’t obvious enough. Nodding affirmatively, “yes.” I muttered, clearing my throat since my voice seemed to be betraying me. “Okay, we’re very firm on not allowing strangers into the pack and not just strangers, weird ones too.” He continued, his voice sending jolts of electricity down my spine. “And maybe we agreed to kill you the next time you cross our path, we might be changing our minds and have a little mercy on you.” Another one spoke. My eyes felt tired trying to keep up with them as they moved from one place to another. The one on his seat finally stood and maybe I haven’t noticed it before, he was slightly taller than the rest, a little bigger and even muscular, his tight top made his revealing body more appealing. “We have an offer for you.” The last one said and soon they were already standing together like they were trying to form an alliance. What could the offer be? With the way I felt, I knew that staying with them would be a bad idea. I only needed a place to hide, I don’t want anything more complicated than what was already going on. “Yes, I’ll leave and I promise you’ll never see me again, if you do you can kill me.” I found myself saying even though the triplets hadn’t said what their offer was. I assumed it was going to be me leaving the country and never showing my face to them anymore since they’ve come to the conclusion of having mercy on me. I just want to leave as soon as possible. “And who said you could talk when we’re not done saying what we want to.” His voice reeked of so much anger that I could see his claws already coming out. “C’mon Dylan, chill out.” His brother urged him, holding him back and soon his fingers were back to normal. “How are we going to be able to use her if you kill her?” The other brother spoke and my eyes opened widely at what he said. Use me? How? “Devin is right, we have plenty of time to do whatever we want to do to her.” The one holding Dylan back said and my heart started racing. Tons of thoughts started running through my mind as I thought about what their offer might be. Did they already know that I’m a witch running away from my coven? What if they knew and what they meant by ‘use’ was using me for their own selfish reason? I should’ve known the excitement I usually feel whenever they were around was spelling out trouble for me. How could I be so stupid? How did I not know? Trying to hide the fact that they might have already known, I tried my hardest to keep calm as I waited for them to tell me about their offer. “We’ll tell you about the offer but first, you must know the rules.” Dylan’s voice put a halt to my thoughts as I lifted my gaze to meet him. “One, no one is to know what we’re about to say to you now, whatever we say here stays between us.” The one I recognized as Devin continued and I nodded my head slowly as my heart began to race. “Two, You’re only here as a maid,” the third one chimed in and I was confused because that’s really why I’m here, “but that is to everyone outside, not to us.” He finished and I could already feel my heart falling to my stomach. What are they talking about? “Damien is right,” Dylan continued, “You’re a maid to others but a plaything to us.” He added and my eyes widened in shock and disbelief. “What?!” I had no idea that I’d said it out loud until I saw the wicked grin on their faces. “Calm down, we won’t let you do things you don’t want to but best believe it comes with a punishment if you don’t.” Damien said and I only saw it as a threat. “You want to live, don’t you?” Dylan started as he walked closer to me, “we said that we’d have mercy on you, didn’t we?” He asked in a whisper, his face awfully close to mine that I could feel his hot breath on my face. “You don’t want to die and that too by our hands so you just have to do as we say and remember, we’re not forcing you.” He laughed before pulling away from me. What kind of reverse psychology is he trying to pull on me? “So, the offer,” he continued as he walked back to his brother, “is that you agree to be ours.” He finished as if there was nothing wrong with his offer. Everything seemed to be happening so fast and I could feel my legs starting to shake as they threatened to be unable to carry me. “You honestly don’t have much time to decide.” Devin said, checking his wristwatch. There’s no going back for me anymore, I need to live, I want to live and I need the money, I also need a place so I can remain hidden. My body shook in fear that I managed to keep at bay as I stared at the triplets awaiting my answer. “So, what is it going to be? A yes and you get to live or a No and you die by our hands.” Damien smirked. I was conflicted but I’d rather stay alive than be dead because that was the whole reason I’m here. It’s why I decided to flee after escaping. “It’s just going to be for a few months.” I thought to myself as I weighed my options. “Yes.” I finally answered, my lips quivering as the words rolled out of my tongue. What did I just agree to?
