Chapter Ten

Eva I can see is very eager to know what the next meal would be, but I wasn't ready to tell her, it was supposed to be a special surprise for her, and telling her will spoil the surprise.

While we await the waitress tried to pull a fast one and I knew what she was driving at when she brought up her guessing game.

" So you are not, telling me what we are having next.?" She asked in the hope of getting a positive response from me.

" Nope?" I remain determined not to tell her. This is my surprise for her and I am determined not to let her know.

I saw she will not give up until I tell her what we are having as the main course of our food.

" Not even a clue?" She persists, I looked at her and smile because I know what trick she wants to pull, and I will not fall for it.

" The answer still remains nope," I said to her.

" Why are you so mean to me?" She tries to emotionally blackmail me, I refuse to look at her because I know she was going to give me that puppy eyes of hers that I find difficult to resist.

" Just to get my taste buds ready?" She refuses to give up but I remain on my stand of not telling her

I pray the waitress comes in before she makes me split out the truth. Eva knows how to use the mate bond most time to get what she wanted and I always fall for her whines.

" The food will so be served and you are going to satisfy that taste bud of yours," I said, and I pray she doesn't bring out the issues because I might end up giving in to her.

Zara was happy that Finley was not giving in to Eva, but was making fun of her, " You see you have lost your charm, I told you to support him, no you keep proving stubborn, and I don't you how you survive a week without him, serves you right,"

" That is not true, he loves me and he is proving it to me, he just wants to surprise me,"

" You know you always end up getting whatever you want from him,"

" So let it be, I know he loves me and that is the most important thing to me," I shut her up and refuse to give her the chance to speak with me.

After about twenty minutes, the waitress brought in the meal and set it before us. When I perceive the flavuor I immediately knew what meal was served.

" Burrito casserole. That is my favorable cheesy Mexican burrito," This is another favourite of mine, I love the burrito for its cheesiness.

" I knew you will be able to know the meal, because of the flavour that comes with it," I knew my mate would be able to recognize the meal when you perceived the flavour,"

She immediately digs into the meal like someone that has been deprived of eating for a week, I watch as she eats the meal, she was not bothered that I was watching all she was concerned about is the meal before her. I would have brought her here a very long time if I had known she missed a Mexican meal, I made up my mind that I would be getting it for her once a week.

" Take it easy, you know you can get more where that comes from," I said to her, and she blushed when she realized she was going too fast with the meal.

" You know how much I love burritos, I have missed this meal and I am happy that you decided to give me a taste of it this night,"

" You don't need to rush, and if you want more of it, we can get a takeaway from them when leaving,"

" That will be great if you can get it for me,"

" I will get it for you then," I made a promise to her.

We continue with the food and when we were over with the meal, I called on the waitress and ask her to make arrangements for a takeaway of the meal.

While the waitress went to get desserts. We began to drink the wine that came with the meal and we continue to make light conversation while we await the waitress

" So how have the boys been acting when I am not home, I am sorry that my work does not give me much opportunity to spend time with you and the kids," I asked wanting information so that I am not left out on the growing up of my kids.

" They are both adorable kids, there is never a dull moment when they are not hungry, I guess that they got it from you," She said making me laugh.

" Are you saying I love food more than you do? Remember you were almost choking now when you were eating the burritos, you are like someone that has been staved for a week," I teased her, I could see that she was blushing when I brought that up

" Are you teasing me because I was appreciating what you gave me, that was different because it was long I ate it and I could not help but want to have it again?" She said and this warmed my heart that she appreciated my little effort to satisfy her.

" I am happy you love the surprise," I said to her.

" The kids have always been great and they always made my day," I was happy when I heard her say it. It made me happy that the kids don't give her any trouble and this helped to put my mind at rest.

" I am happy to hear that they are not giving you problems.

" I am grateful for taking care of the boys and I promise to make time for them too," I have been a little absent from the boys' lives and this was not what I wanted, I want to start giving them some training as it was. The practice of my family and I need to continue in their footsteps.

" You don't need to stress yourself, your duties in the pack are something that can not be neglected,"

" My sons are no stress to me and I don't think leaving my duties for some few minutes to be with my kids will cause any problem in the pack as everyone needs to think of his or her family too," I explained to her.

We had to stop the conversation when the waitress brought the meal. She sets the desserts on the table and left the room.

Eva, I can see for the first time you could not tell what the dessert was and this made me glad because I can brag that I defeated her in this round.

I still need to wait for her to give it a taste and I know I have lost the bragging right.
