Orion.
Fury.
Disgrace and Anger.
The three words fill king Lucius's eyes as his claws remain on my neck, whereas I only stand there restraining the anger building up in me.
Being on the edge does you no good brother.
I remain calm, recalling the words of Ares, as a little smile makes it ways to my lips, knowing exactly how to deal with people like king Lucius who value power.
"King Lucius!" Chief Kane's voice echo through the room, as from my view I see the chief get up in an instant. "You are crossing the line here." Chief Kane speaks again.
"Well, I wasn't the one who crossed the line at the first place, hearing such disrespectful words form nothing but a being I can end with just more pressure on my claws." King Lucius voice comes though, as with his every statement, I see the the elongation of his fangs.
His words do get me, especially by calling me his choice of words, while what he fails to remember is, with my sword alone, I can banish him to the world of hell.
"Let me explain this to you king Lucius, you can go ahead and do what you want, but first let me give you the repercussions of your actions if you do.
Not only would you be on the wanted list of the Bellator luminis, but evey other clan, as I am the only one who probably knows how to tackle Articus at this point. So, if you do apply more pressure and drain out the blood in me, hmmm...let's see. You probably would not live to see the next full moon, with the force the Bellator luminis would come after you with.
And yes, lest I forget, your clan is powerful but don't forget, ours always finds loopholes to powerful clans.
But, let's say you even live and then Articus strikes, do you really think you would survive him without help from any of the clans, when they see just how irrational you can be, because I know, I'm not the only one that doesn't fancy the thought of Articus's cruelty." I speak to king Lucius, and if looks could kill, I'll be be in the deepest part of hell now.
"You disrespectful thing!" King Lucius's voice enraging as his claws does dig deeper, and I feel a light sharp pain from his touch.
"Don't get it too far your Highness, your claws are starting to hurt." I tell him with a mockery of the respect he wants, and fury growing in my eyes.
"Let go of him now, or I won't be responsible for what happens next." At a go, Chief Kane is standing behind king Lucius with a sword close to his neck, knowing if any of this goes further, a war would definitely break out between the clans.
"For f***s sake! Can you all act like matured leaders for once!" Queen Nadia definitely enraged by the scenario utters, all while it does nothing to king Lucius as his hot gaze remains on me.
"I advice you take proper thought king Lucius." I speak to the king again, clearly knowing I've made an enemy with the vampire king, and probably the entire clan.
King Lucius stares at me, as gradually, he begins to take his claws away from my neck, while chuckling menacingly. "Don't get into a boat you can't stir, boy." King Lucius utters to me.
"Of course, your highness." I respond to him with a smug smile on my lips. I wouldn't have had to react this way to king Lucius, if only he didn't act unreasonable, yet, it is known to everyone that, king Lucius is a proud and irrational King.
King Lucius stares at me on last time, and I know he is definitely not going to let my actions go freely, and I am prepared for what's to come. He also locks gaze with chief Kane, whereby the Chief reveals how unpleasant his actions are with his gaze.
"You do not have to be irrational all the time, this is a matter of all our security." Queen Nadia affected and angered by the events talks to king Lucius.
"Can we get back to the discussion Kane, as you know we do have matters to attend aside this." king Adrian interrupts, amidst the conversation between queen Nadia and king Lucius, as though none concerns him.
"Yes of course. Go ahead Orion." The chief administers for me to continue.
Its obvious the threat between king Lucius and I, is definitely not over, but one thing I definitely won't do is go after a person, I haven't properly calculated the consequences, especially from someone such as king Lucius, whom I tend to have his weak points, if indeed he does try something.
Yes, he's a king and I may be of lower rank than he is, yet, I am a Bellator luminis at the end of it all, and we always find loopholes.
My gaze brushes off king Lucius, to the rest of the leaders sitting. "My apologies for earlier, your highnesses. As I said earlier, in order to secure back the chosen, we would need to infiltrate Articus's world.
Now, I know that sounds foolish and impossible, but it isn't. One being that, Articus would definitely not expect us infiltrating his world, and even if he does, all hopes would be that we're there on a suicide mission, whereas he could easily snap our necks and release his demons on us, not knowing our motives move farther than that." I tell them as each of them stay silent while listening.
"And what is this ulterior motive you have planned?" Queen Felicia asks.
"In order to get into The demon world, the warlock clan would create a portal channeling it to the Demon world, as it is only them that can do that."
"Lest you have forgotten, in order to get into the demon world, you'll need demon blood and we all know Articus has made ways such that, once a demon is killed, it diminishes and it is highly impossible to capture them, making it difficult for us to secure any trace of demon blood, if not why do you think its impossible to get there?" Queen Nadia cuts me off.
"Of course, I am aware of that your Highness. Then, my apologies again for I'm certain it skipped my mind to inform you, that we do have a demon in our captivity and have managed to secure its blood successfully." A smile lays on my lips as I speak, whereas each of them hold a gaze of perplexity and shock.
"What are you talking about?" Queen Nadia is the first to speak.
"Do you have any idea of what it is claim?" King Adrian adds.
"Of course I do, what gain would I receive from telling false." I assure them. "With the length of our technology, nothing is impossible, and I believe it is confidential to inform you about our ways of securing it." I tell them while their gaze remains the same.
"Just what in Gods name do you run in your labs?" King Lucius speaks this time around, as my smile widens.
"A lot. A lot beyond your imagination, your Highness." I inform him, as the room goes silent.
"With demon blood, do you know what it is you could accomplish with that, the lengths magic could run." Queen Nadia definitely interested in the news than most speaks.
"Exactly, which is why this information has to stay here and shouldn't exceed this room, for the safety of all clans." I say while passing a gaze to chief Kane.
"If any other is to know about this, you know the ruckus this could uproar." Chief Kane intervenes.
"Then how sure are we, with your people securing demon blood, won't use it against any of the clans or even, become the next Articus?" King Adrian asks, whereas I nod my head in understanding.
"Because if we wanted we wouldn't have told you about our development, if indeed we planned harm, because at this point every clan needs to unite to fight for the greater good." Chief Kane adds.
"Hmp," king Lucius scoffs. "Haven't we heard that before, right before we took in Articus and here we are, so who's to say?" King Lucius adds.
"Then I guess you'll just have to go with our word." Chief Kane replies strongly.
"Fine, let's say we do indeed get into the demon world, don't you believe Articus would sense our presence?" Queen Felicia asks?
"We have that covered too." I tell them as a surprising smile lays on Queen Felicia's lips staring at me.
"I see. Then what's the next plan?" She furthers.
"We get in, face Articus and take the chosen." I tell them.
"Are you insane? Just like that?" Queen Nadia asks. "I am not willing to send my people on a suicide mission, how in the name do you expect any of us to face Articus? If you want our cooperation, none of this plane has to be left out,” Queen Nadia continues.
"Of course your highness, I was getting to that." I tell them, as they all stare at me in disbelief of having every question covered.
"Wait. Don't tell me.. It can't be...oh my God, that was it." Queen Nadia begins again, as this time she gets up from her seat, while I reason she is beginning to catch up on the plan, yet, it stay perplexed with the rest of the leaders.
"Octavius. That's where octavius is. I wondered...I wondered where he could be at such a time, and why I felt such a surge after he left." Queen Nadia looks at me with a calculating stare.
"The forest, the forest of the dead. That's where he is, isn't it? that's where Octavius went, and he's the ulterior motive behind it all." She concludes the plan, as I nod truthfully at her with a smile.
With every magical clan, each of their leaders are connected to every personthere is under them, which is why Queen Nadia would have felt such connection when Octavius entered the Forest.
"What?" King Adrian stares from me to queen Nadia, unable to distinguish it all.
"Isn't that suicide?" Queen Felicity asks.
"Yes, but not if you're able to pass the test and once you do, your powers would be unmatchable, even for a demon king." Queen Nadia replies still in disbelief.
"So, Octavius is at the Forest of the dead, securing strength to face Articus?" King Adrian asks to be certain.
"Yes, octavius is our ticket there. With him, we'll be able to be secured and secure the chosen back to our world, and we do all know the power that emerges if passed from the Forest." I inform all of them.
"Of course, but what now happens if he doesn't pass the test?" Queen Felicity asks the question that turns everywhere silent, as I find myself questioning the same thing.
What exactly happens, when Octavius do not pass the test?
