I stood up from the ground , my eyes fixed on Grayson’s blue orbs , relief washed over his face as he realised that I was not going to rip his heart out of his chest , that his life will be spared . His life that he will live out with Emily , not me .
Perhaps he deserves to die .
My feet were on either side of his body as I stared down at him , his chest heaving , his dark hair fallen back in a messy state .
I notice his skin healing fast , like any wolf does .
I wish I had the courage to rip out his heart , to watch him take his last breath -- but I couldn't because I am weakened by the stupid mate bond .
His smile was so bright as he chuckled .
