My eyes flick open at a sudden sound . Irritation ripples through me -- I swear I just f*****g fell asleep ! I was still laying on my duvet , under the aircon while Mia was curled into a ball underneath two blankets of her own . I smile as guilt creep up my spine , she really could have slept in her own bed .
My body still felt warm and sensitive .
My head snaps to the window at the sound of sharp clicking , but there's nothing there and then I look at the door , seeing a shadow right behind it in the corridor , pacing up and down in front of it . I could tell they were trying to be quiet as I watch ther slow pace and I take a deep breath , focussing my senses on the scent , but I frown as I realized that I didn't recognize it and the sharp smell of aconite make
