TOXIC ATTRACTION EPISODE THIRTY FOUR

The way Richard asked me about the abortion made me realize he could have had some information, you know the way someone knows something but they ask just to lay a trap for you so that you can lie, i felt like that was it. I didn't want to give Richard a reason not to trust me as we already seemed like we were in good terms. The first time i told Richard about terminating the pregnancy he did not really fancy the idea and this time round. He must have had a good reason to ask.

Me: no i did not push through with it even though I wanted to.

Richard: what stopped you?.

Me: i got scared.

There was a bit of a silence.

Me: is there a particular reason why you are asking that?.

Richard: no.

Me: you don't even know how to lie..

Richard: its not important. I just thought i should ask since you had mentioned it..

I didn't ask more questions even though i was not satisfied. We finished having breakfast and i had to push him on his wheelchair to the bus stop as I had done the few months I was living with him.

We got to the bus stop and watched the tout help him get in the car then i left. On my way back to the house i called Mark yet again but he did not pick my call and so i thought to go see him at his place. I wanted to know that he was okay because maybe i had been texting and calling a dead person.

Diana opened her eyes that morning and the brightness in the room made her close ot again before trying to get up so that she could figure out where she was. She held on to the back of her head and the headache she was having was unbearable.. in the room was a guy, he was not dressed as a doctor but he stood by the wall with his arms crossed to his chest. He was watching over Diana. When Diana saw the man in the room she got terrified and started calling for help but no one responded. The guy came closer and pulled a chair and sat closer to the bed.

Diana asked who he was and what he wanted but he only responded with a name... "Blade"

Diana: that's your name?..

Blade: you are not well enough to get up...lay back.

He ordered pushing her back to her bed and she did though hesitantly.

Diana: who are you?.

Blade: a friend of Mark's..he said i needed to make sure you are okay. How are you feeling.

Diana: where is Mark?.

Blade: taking care of business..

Diana: call my brother or my mother, i need to get out of here.

Blade: that's one thing he told me not to do. Do you remember what happened?.

Diana: oh, you mean when he tried to kill me, i remember every detail.

Blade shook his head in despair. He thought Diana was dramatic like Mark put it but she was going to be a real pain in his ass if Mark didn't show up soon.

A few minutes later, a nurse walked into the room and Diana asked her for help but she didn't react. She seemed to be part of Mark's plan to keep Diana hidden and quiet until he was able to come back to the hospital.

Diana: i swear when i get out of here I'm calling the cops on you. This is k********g.

Blade smiled and got up to receive a call that came through his phone. It was Mark.

Blade: Boss..

Mark: any new developments?.

Blade: the girl is awake. She is being attended by the nurse.

Mark: anything i should worry about?.

Blade: no. But you need to get here because we won't be able to hold her down for long. The nurse is giving her a sedative.

Mark: I will be there in two hours. I have to take care of a few things first.

Blade ended the call and got back to the nurse.

Blade: for how long will she be out?..

Nurse: three hours tops.

She put everything he had been using in a small tray and looked at Blade who has sat on the chair again.

Nurse: why are you guys doing this to her?..

Blade: you can ask my boss that when he comes around. I only do what he asks pf me and I don't ask questions.

Nurse: interesting. I didn't know you enjoy being another man's puppet but from the look pf things you are pretty proud of what gou are doing.

Blade: mh!.. and you, why are you keeping her here and giving her those injections?..

She didn't respond..

Blade: I'll answer that for you, because someone was paid and because you also take orders from that someone. I guess it doesn't really make us different huh?..

The nurse walked out without another word to him.

Davis was coming out of his house go go to work when he walked out of the door and the first thing he saw was Julia..she was standing there all dressed up like someone going to an office and after the last show she put on Davis and almost got him mobbed, she was the last person he expected to see right there.

He ignored her and walked passed her then opened the door to his car but before he could get it she pulled the door open and stood by it so that he wouldn't close it on her.

Davis: I didn't think that after that stupid move you pulled the other day you would still show your face here.

Julia: why not, i was only reacting to your rejection. You humiliated me Infront of them.

Davis: them who?.. i told you on several occasions that i was not into you despite you throwing yourself at me. I don't love you Julia, get that into your head and leave me the hell alone.

Julia: its a pity you are forcing yourself on someone who doesn't love you, someone who is expecting another man's baby and someone who is not who she claims to be. Did you know that your beloved Robina tried to abort her child?.

Davis was shocked. He knew Julia was a psychopath but not until she sent him the photo of Robina at quack doctors place. Julia rook that photo when the lady was examining Robina and to everyone it would look as if she was working on termination of the undeveloped baby.

Davis: why are you telling me this?..

Julia: I don't know. One of the reasons is that i love you and I will not watch you end up with her. She took you from me and i will never let her be happy, not with you and not with anyone else including the cripple of a husband.

Davis got out of the car and grabbed her blouse.

Davis: stay away from me and stay away from Robina. You are lucky I don't beat up women because i wouldn't have waited this long. I don't know what has come over you but this is not the friend i knew.

He pushed her off then got in the car and drove off. He then texted Robina and asked if he could see her after work.

Frank dropped Susan off at her workplace and after he left, he made a call asking someone to get him a the files of the names susan had mentioned. A few of those cases had been closed but he realized there could be more to what susan was saying. He wanted to look into it do as to find out what really happened to Susan's foster father and also what was going on between the two families.

Richard got to his other home and Tosh had already left. Santos was in the computer room working on a few things and when he saw Richard standing by the door he stopped whatever he was doing and invited him in.

Richard: any news for me?.

He asked sitting on a chair opposite Santos who turned his computer to him do that he could take a good look at it.

Richard: what am i looking at?.

Santo: Johannes kadzo. Might not only have been a clearing and forwarding agent but a few sources has ot that he is a manager at an underground casino.

Richard: underground casino... interesting. So what exactly are you saying?.

Santo: the casino is in an identified place and most of the people who have gone there must have a password that is generated every night. In the casino there's other operations going on, drugs and shen I say drugs I mean hard stuff. Heroine, opium, coke.. you name it.

Richard: an underground casino that i have not heard of. So you mean Johannes is ditching me to focus fully on the casino or he is playing some games?.. where are we with someone who Lenny could be reporting to?.

Santo: its a working progress. Should have a name by the end of the day but do you want me to look into this casino thing?

Richard: yes..i want detailed information. Meanwhile did you put a tracker on Tosh like i asked you to?.

Santo: yes, but i need to ask. You think he would still double cross us even after you spared his life?.

Richard: that's what i want to know. I think i will not be sleeping here for sometime, i need you to be here just incase. The shipments will be here soon and i need you to get a few boys to clear the basement for that. I have a meeting with a close associate of Rafael. He us going to tell me everything i need to know about Rafael's territory..we need to get ready for a take over. I need your A-game on this one because Rafael will retaliate and once we embark on that there's no standing down.

Santos: you need back up.

Richard: no. I have a gun. That's all the backup that i need. I also need you to freeze Diana's account. I asked her to do something and she didn't.

Santos: Diana will go ballistic on me.

Richard: you are not scared of my baby sister are you. You have handled more dangerous people.

Santos: okay.

Mark visited Rebekah at her small cafeteria and took a seat at the corner of the room.. Rebekah had been busy serving her clients but when she saw Mark, she stopped immediately, went up to him and took his hand and led him to the back of the room. She was nervous..

Rebekah: you can't just show up here, not after asking me to do what i did. What if Richard is coming after me?

Mark: you sold the story well didn't you, you had a moment with him and spent the night together right?..

Rebekah: i did. But that was months ago, what if he starts asking questions?.

Mark: i paid you to put up the show, there's much more money where that came from. You went to school so you should know how to answer questions. All you have to do is make both of them believe that the baby is Richard's and keep putting up that show untill he believes.

Rebekah: you don't think Richard is that stupid do you, he will sooner or later learn that the baby is not mine.

Mark: Make it believable. You don't have a choice. I expect a serious drama that will lead to a breakup... Camp in that house if you have to.

He put a huge amount of money and left...
