TOXIC ATTRACTION EPISODE TWENTY NINE

from inside, we heard commotion outside and both susan and i rushed to the balcony to check what was going on and on getting there, we saw Julia being pulled up from the ground by some guy and Davis was being roughed up by two guys. Susan and i could not hear anything from the balcony and so we decided to rush down before things got ugly. We raced down the stairs, susan was infront of me and i followed hastily. We got outside in a few minutes and i ran and stood between Davis and the two guys who were man handling him..

Susan: what is happening here?.

One of the guys told us that Julia had accused Davis of s****l harassment and said he was trying to force her into the car and that's why she screamed for help.

Davis: i did no such thing.

Me: really Julia, it has come to this?.

Julia: what, are you going to defend him. Did he even tell you that he has been making advances at me. This is not the first time he is trying to take advantage of me.

Susan: let the guy go, he is innocent of the claims. We know them both.

The two guys holding on to Davis let him go and he straightened his shirt. Julia was still holding the torn part of her blouse to keep people from seeing her chest.

The men were furious with Juliana for lying and they wanted to get her arrested but Julia took to her heels and ran off leaving everyone else quite surprised.

Me: what was that about?..

Davis: i don't want to talk about it.

He tried to open the door to the car but i stopped him. Davis was so upset that he could not even look at me. Susan drove everyone away then told me to find her inside after i was done talking to Davis.

Me: you know you can talk to me right, i won't be judgmental or anything.

He asked me to get in the car and we did. He did not drive off but we sat there waiting for him to start talking.

Davis: Julia is crazy and she is not the friend you think she is.

Me: i know, that's why we didn't take her side. Why would she come at you like that and why does she seem pissed off at me?.

I had to ask because Julia's hatred for me had grown overnight. One minute we were super close friends and the next it was insults and bad mouthing.

Davis: Julia has been making pases at me. At first i thought she was joking and just being Julia but it became serious .she started stalking me and getting in my car announced. There's this one time we were taking and she got emotional and stuff and she kissed me and became very persuasive that we ended up making out.

Me: you made out with Julia?

I asked quite shocked because that's the last thing i expected to hear. I knew he was a play boy but with Julia i didn't see it coming. He never even liked her like that.

Davis: i know it sounds bad and i wouldn't entirely put the blame on her because i didn't stop her.

Me: do that's why she called you baby earlier..

Davis: yeah, but that was partly to annoy you. Julia hates you, i don't know what you did to her but the stuff she has been saying about you..

Me: and you believed her?.

Davis: give me some benefit of the doubt. I know both of you too well. She sounded jealous of you for some reason i can't pinpoint. That show she put here a few minutes ago could have landed me in the hands of the mob.

Me: but you just stood there and did nothing.

Davis: i wanted to slap the hell out of her but you know I'd never hit a woman. I would have taken it up with the boys but you don't fight such fights without back up but its a good thing ni one threw a blow.

I was silent for a second trying to process everything that Davis had just said. I hated the fact that he did Julia of all the people and i didn't want to judge him for that but it was hard not to.

Davis: what are tou thinking about..

Me: nothing really...were you ever going to tell me about you and Julia?.

Davis: no. With a good reason. I'm trying to win you back into my life Robina and I'm trying to be a better man. I'm not happy with what happened between me and Julia but it won't happen again. Just like any other person i make mistakes but it would be unfair to judge me by who i was. Julia will never stop coming at me but atleast now you know that i will never fall for her games again. I don't know what really happened between you two but whatever it is, it looks like it won't end well.

Cleopatra was worried. It was already past 9:00pm and Robert was not back yet. She had prepared dinner and set the table for both of them but the food was now getting cold. She called him multiple of times but he did not respond to her call. She was worried that something could have happened to him because that was so unlike him. On a normal day, he would get home and rest on the bed for a few minutes as he waited for Cleopatra to prepare dinner.

She got up from the dining and went to the window to see if his car was driving towards the house but there was nothing. The neighborhood was quite and she had no idea of what to do because Robert had no friends that she could call. She nervously and patiently waited for him to call or show up.

Nerea: i really had a good time. Its been a while since someone took me out on a date or treated me this special.

She said putting the plates in the sink and washing them and Robert helped clean the table.

Nerea: your phone has been vibrating aren't you going to hear what she wants?.

Robert: i don't want her to spoil my evening with her tantrums. I'll see her at home.

She wiped the plates and put them away.

Robert: you know this was supposed to be our house, maybe we would have gad our own children and be happy like we were a few years ago.

Nerea: you know that would not have been possible. When we started sleeping together I already had Joram, Richard and Diana. I don't regret meeting you though, you lit my world.

He smiled and hugged her.

Robert: i can't believe you threatened to have me arrested.what made you change your mind?

Nerea: let's just say I wasn't exactly for the idea for getting you arrested. Richard is keen on avenging his father's death. He believes you had something to do with it. Did you kill Jesse?.

Robert: what is your heart telling you?..

Nerea: Jesse had alot of enemies. It could have been anyone.

Robert: Richard has the right to feel whatever he was feeling. I was his father's right hand man and that means i was supposed to know everything. I know there's something up with Richard and he doesn't seem to be the person he makes all of us believe he is.

Nerea: why?..

Richard: there's a dark side of him, a side only i know exists because everyone who was close to Jesse was never the same again. I saw alot of men go down on his watch. Some he dropped on his own but when in a suite you would think he was a sane. I tend to think Jesse trained Richard to take his place. Maybe he knew his days were short given the number of people he crossed.

They both walked to the livingroom, she grabbed her purse and she gave him her car keys so that he could drop her home then get a cab to his place or something because they were not yet done with their conversation. He opened the door to the car and she got in before he got on the driver's seat and drove off.

I got back to the house after Davis left. Susan had already prepared dinner and was waiting for me to come in so that we could eat together. I felt guilty for a moment because Susan housed me and I felt the need to help with the house chores. Her cooking and cleaning when I was there could have been a quick ticket of getting out of her house. I knew she was nothing like Julia but I didn't want to take risks.

Susan: that was the longest seeing off ever. Is he gone?.

I nodded and sat next to her folding my arms to my chest and leaned back. This julia thing was now driving me up the wall and if Davis was right, she was a cancer in my life i needed to get rid of.

Me: he left but you won't believe what he told me.

Susan: what did he say?

Susan was curious, she always was. Not that she was a gossip but i shared some of the things because I loved her sobber advices and opinions.

Me: he slept with Julia.

Susan: what!

She shouted and i quickly covered her mouth. Her boyfriend could be on the way or anywhere closer.

Susan: sorry, that was shocking. How did those two end up in one bed?.

Me: it was actually in the back seat of his car.

Susan's eyes almost popped out. She could not believe just what Julia was capable of doing.

Susan: you know she told me she was somehow into Davis but fir the money. I didn't think it would get that serious.

Me: well it did.

Susan: you sound affected, what, you still have feelings for him?.

I did not get to answer that question because the door bell charmed loudly in the house and Susan went to get it. It was her boyfriend, the guy we had been waiting for before we got to have dinner.

Cleopatra's wait was in vain. She got the food and the plates off the table then called Robert one more time and when he didn't respond, she decided to go to bed.

Robert dropped Nerea to her place and after sealing their goodbye with a hug, he called a cab and shortly after he was on his way.

Richard left the mansion and went back to the other house that night hoping that after the conversation he had with Robina, she was going to go back to her matrimonio home. He thought of telling Robina the truth that night, he wanted to be free from a guilty conscience and he wanted to be able to operate his businesses like a normal person but how was he going to start. How was he going to tell her the truth when he had not even told his family that he could actually walk and had been putting up a show for the longest time possible?..

He got to his house, pushed the wheelchair to his bedroom then Went to the kitchen to get himself some beer. He needed time away from the crazy business atmosphere and as much as his mind was all over the place. He could not stop thinking about Robina.

He got his phone and tapped on the screen and Robina's photo came up on his screen. He had downloaded a few of her photos from social media and he stared at it touching her face on the phone. He thought she was beautiful, he had never felt drawn to any woman his entire life like he had been drawn to her.

He took a sip of his beer then got the photo off the screen and decided to call her. Her phone rang a few times before she got to pick it..

Richard: i miss you.. i know its stupid given the conversation we had but i honestly do miss having you around.

There was silence on the other end.

Richard: you left me out in the cold. I can't even begin to imagine you in the arms of another woman. Come to me.. i was hoping to find you home when i got back.

There still was no response from Robina. It was just silent but he could hear things happening in the background. The tv was on though in a low tone then there was a man taking too. He knew she was somewhere else having a good time.

Richard: maybe you won't make it today but will you atleast response to me, it feels so weird talking to myself..

Robina: I intended to come but not today. Anyway, susan has her boyfriend over so i think i will be better off there for the night. I'm on my way.

While Richard was still talking on the phone, he heard a knock on the door and having been distracted on the the phone, he walked up to the door, opened it and there stood some lady with a small child in her arms. When she saw Richard on his legs, she almost dropped the baby and Richard caught up to it before it landed on the ground..

Richard: are you sick in the head Rebekah?

He asked trying to give her back the baby but she wouldn't take it. She stood there staring at him in shock.

Richard: hey....hallo..

He said snapping on her face and she snapped back to the reality.

Rebekah: so all along you could walk?.

Richard: shhh! Keep your tone down!.

She walked in and Richard followed him holding the baby.

Richard: take your child..

He said handing it over but she didn't stretch her arms to receive the baby.

Rebekah: see that's the thing. I've done my part giving life and breastfeeding. You have to take responsibility of the remaining stuff.

Richard: what do you mean?

Rebekah: you are a father to a handsome baby boy Richard. I waited for you to contact me but you never did, so if the mountain won't come to Rebekah, Rebekah has come to the mountain!.

She sat with her legs crossed on top pf each other and started scrolling through the Tv station.
