As I stood there in the midst of Derek's fury, I couldn't help but understand his anger. The fact that Zachary could be capable of such a heinous act was unimaginable. However, I firmly believed that he could never hurt our son, Liam. Zachary loved Liam too much to bring any harm to him, but then again, he had sent both of us here, so I couldn't fully trust his intentions.
Derek's anger boiled over, and he vented his frustration by smashing a nearby vase against the wall. I decided to remain silent, knowing that any words uttered in this state would only add fuel to the fire.
“How dare he take my own son!” Derek growled, his gaze filled with rage as he directed it at me. I knew he was itching for a target, and I happened to be within reach.
