"Bella wants to harm me," I scoffed, finally realizing the truth that had been hiding in plain sight. I had been such a fool all along. She had come here, pretending to be one of us, all with the sinister intent of hurting me in retaliation for what I had done to her people. I couldn't believe I had been so naive, thinking that her love for me would be enough to change her mind. "I am such a fool," I muttered to myself, shaking my head in disbelief at my own blindness.
