"Bella!" The name escaped my lips involuntarily as she stood before me, and confusion washed over my face. "What are you doing here?" I asked, my mind racing to comprehend her unexpected appearance.
"Can I come in?" Bella inquired, her voice low and inviting.
"Yes, you can come in," I responded, creating a path for her to enter my room and locking the door behind her. My mocking tone couldn't resist the opportunity to remark, "I guess you couldn't stay away from your son."
With a smile on her face, Bella defended her presence, "I couldn't stay away from Liam. After all, I am his mother."
Despite my teasing, I expressed my concern, "You shouldn't have argued and just come with me in the first place. You don't need all that trouble."
