Emily stood in front of us, her face a mix of disbelief and anguish. I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at her reaction to the scene she had walked into. Derek, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by her presence, which only added to my amusement.
"Don't you have the decency to at least knock before walking into someone's room?" I mocked, a sly smile playing on my lips.
