"Come home!" I read the message from my dad over and over again, trying to make sense of it. It felt like a contradiction, considering he had been the one who suggested that I come to Baekon City in the first place. The sudden change of heart left me puzzled and a little concerned.
"Why does he want me to come back?" I wondered aloud, feeling a knot of worry forming in my stomach. It didn't seem safe for him to return to Baekon City, especially with everything I had heard about the current situation. The city was in chaos, and danger lurked around every corner.
