"Are you sure you really want to do this?" Jason questioned, his tone filled with worry and uncertainty. Ignoring him, I stood before the mirror, adjusting my necktie while dressed in a black suit, my hair neatly gelled back for a sleek look. "I'll take that as a yes, then," he said sadly.
"I don't have time for this, Jason. Let's get it over with once and for all," I replied coldly, instructing him to fetch my shoes from the corner. He handed them to me, but he hesitated to leave. "Why are you still here?" I asked, annoyed.
"You really don't have to prove anything to anyone, Derek. You don't have to listen to them," Jason said, his tone filled with concern.
"You know why I'm doing this, and it's the last straw for me. I have to do this," I explained.
