Iris was sitting on the floor behind the door to Bristol’s bedroom door listening as Bristol’s mom was still tearing into her at the bottom of the stairs. Her voice carried through the otherwise quiet house and Iris had to admit, she’d never heard the woman they’d dubbed the Ice Queen so passionately heated. She was really giving Bristol an earful. The sound of the front entrance opening caused her to peek out a crack in the door to see who was coming into the house. Bristol’s bedroom was the perfect vantage point near the top of the stairs to see everything in the foyer below.
