**Samantha**
A year later
Standing on the balcony of the study room where I was taking my lessons, I watched Austin sparring with one of the new trainees that were recently recruited.
“Admiring your prince charming?” Isabella asked me as I turned to her smiling broadly as I looked at her. She was slightly shorter than me, standing at 5’2 feet. She had the most beautiful hazel down-turned eyes, with very dark brown hair and a slender body.
“What do you think?” I turned to her while blushing as she let out a peal of laughter.
“I honestly don’t understand how you are always drooling over the same man. What happens if…” she wanted to speak but I cut her short.
“Austin has already confirmed it. I am his mate and future Luna. So I am just waiting for Friday. For it to be confirmed” I blushed to turn around as she chuckled.
“You dream too much,” She said and I shrugged my shoulders making my way out of the study room, I was exhausted from all the reading. I knew I needed the knowledge but I also needed to enhance my fighting skills.
“Good morning” the omegas and warriors I met on my way to the training field murmur each time they saw me. Even before I was officially confirmed at Austin’s mate, the pack members respected me, not because of that but because I was someone who had a rank in the pack’s army.
“Good Morning Ma’am”
The recruits stood in formation as soon as I walked over to the training ground, At only 17 years old, I was a Major working towards Lieutenant colonel.
“At Ease!” I shouted as I reached the circle Austin drew around him. I watched him fight with the trainee and from the way he was moving the young man had no chance at all.
He threw a punch at the trainee who dodged it as he hit Austin, I frowned, looking at him. Was he seriously being handed by a 15-year-old boy? That’s unheard of.
“Please don’t tell me you are going to let him embarrass you like that” I mind linked to Austin with a smirk on my face and he turned to me shrugging his shoulders...
The young corporal tried to attack him but he blocked him hitting his chest swiftly using his ankle kicked him off the ground as the recruit fell to the ground and Austin pinned him by his throat to the ground as I smiled before walking away, I fold my hands against my chest proud that my mate wasn’t just some weakling.
“No sparring today?”
Austin rushed after me wrapping his arm around my neck, burying his head in my neck as he sniffled in my scent.
“You smell awesome today. What are you using?” He asked me as I chuckled shaking my head, “Isabella made a very nice cream to use.”
I smiled eying Isabella who was looking with a smirk on her face.
Austin doesn’t like Isabella because she is someone who doesn’t have any rank in the pack because no one knows who her father is, and her mother is someone who wasn’t the most admired woman in the pack. A woman for every man, they nicknamed her. And it was worse last year when she insisted that we go to some party
But Isabella isn’t like her mother, she’s intelligent and brave, despite everything that happened to her she is strong and doesn’t care about what happens.
She’s the only best friend I have so I try to make sure that Austin treats her like nothing and always involve her in everything that I do
“So, you are finally 18 years soon?” Austin whispered in my ears as I chuckled knowing too well what he was talking about.
“Of course, remember we agreed to wait until I can finally shift on my birthday,” I said to him and he kissed my cheeks.
“Of course? I will see you later tonight?” He winked at me as I nodded my head, despite keeping myself pure, we sometimes get naughty just the two of us exploring our bodies.
“So you are coming to town with me right?” I asked her as she rolled her eyes. “We both know I am. Hell, I wouldn’t pass up on that chance to be shopping with you” She nudged her elbow towards me as I chuckled nodding my head.
“Let’s go.” I wrapped my hand around hers, making our way to the car. My mother and father got me a car at 16 years when I had just been promoted to Major.
“Get in!” I said to her as she went to get to the driver’s seat and I started the car driving away. The shops were a few miles from the pack house, if I had my wolf I would shift, but unfortunately, I couldn’t, so need to do the driving.
After getting to the shops, as soon as I got out of the car. I could feel someone watching every movie I make.
I stopped briefly looking around me hoping the wolf would show himself but no. “Hey, Sam? Back already?” Harper the shopkeeper greeted me as I walked into the shop.
“Yes. I need another dress for me and my friend” I said wrapping my arms around Isabella, Harper frowned. immediately I mentioned Isabella I smirked looking at her.
“Sure. I have a few dresses you can look at” She said turning around as I nodded my head, I went to the mirror looking at my body, the black jeans and t-shirt were fitting my body so nice. I turned to admire myself in the mirror so many times.
I looked at myself in the mirror and then noticed a man was watching us. “Isabella?” I turned to her as she looked at me. “Why don’t you go ahead and pick whatever dress, I found my phone in the car” She smiled at me as I walked out of the shop. I walked towards the car and I could hear his footsteps, judging by his scent. He must be a beta or carries beta blood like me, I grabbed my gun and put it in my jeans behind before walking back into the shop.
“Did you manage to find something?” I asked her as she nodded her head, “I picked something for you” she hands me a red dress that was backless and had short sleeves but it was too short for my liking.
“It’s beautiful but I can’t-“ The door opened and the man who had been following us walked into the shop as I got Isabella standing in front of her.
“Who the heck are you?”
I questioned as he looked at me pitifully. What was wrong with him?
“I see pain. I see pain.”
He repeated the same thing as I frowned my eyebrows wondering why he was talking like that.
“I see you in pain. Soon. Soon you will feel so much pain that you will almost die. Your Past is coming to haunt you. Prepare yourself mi Reina” He said bowing his head before making his way out of the shop. I turned to look at Isabella wondering what just happened.
“Was that…”
“A mage wolf,” Harper said as I turned to look at her.
“Olemorith” Isabella added on. An Olemorith? Wolves that can see visions? What would he want from me?
“I thought they are a myth?”
I turned to Harper and Isabella who were still in shock. “Well, I don’t think so,” harper said looking in the direction of the Mage wolf

The sound of the alarm on my side bed rang aloud as it always does every morning. The day has finally come. I knew who my mate was because the day that Austin found out that I was his mate; we have prepared for the day that we could finally be able to bond.
I peel off the covers that I was all tangled up in. I sat back on the bed as I sighed heavily thinking about that mage’s words. For the last two days, they have been on my mind.
Don’t think about it too much. I heard my wolf’s voice as I smiled at myself. She was here.
Hi. I beamed with a smile.
Hi Samantha, nice to meet you. I am Lexa. I have looked forward to this day. She said as I smiled at myself. My wolf was finally here.
Hi Lexa. Ready for the day? I asked, getting out of bed.
“Sammy? Sam?” My mother’s voice came from downstairs. What’s wrong with her? Does she have to yell at the top of her voice like this? I mean, she knows that I have enhanced hearing and she can mind link me than shouting like this.
“Mum. I am on my way” I mind-linked her as I sighed heavily. I walk over to my closet, picking what I will wear for the ceremony.
I pick an emerald green knee-length fit and flare dress that I bought a few days ago. I get in the shower, taking a quick shower before heading out. Quickly, I changed into my dress with some sandals.
I would prefer to be in jeans and a tank top with a blazer, but my mother insisted that I look like someone who is soon to be Luna.
Heading out of my bedroom, I went down the staircase. The smell of morning coffee fills my nostrils as I smile at myself. Mum has already made breakfast.
Food. Lexa excitedly says as I smile at myself.
Just wait till you see what mum has prepared. I encouraged her as we headed down to the kitchen. I find dad is sitting on the end of the table stuffing himself with the bacon that mom served him. David sitting on his right and we set my chair next to David.
“Morning Mum” I smiled, kissing her cheek before grabbing an apple and heading to the table. Did I mention my father is the beta of the pack? But in our pack, it doesn’t carry much weight unless you are also serving as part of the council of elders.
“Good morning,” I said to my father,
“Morning,” He said monotone, without sparing me a glance. I turned to my mother, who shook her head, telling that I shouldn’t bother pushing to talk to him.
“Have you packed already for your trip to Blue Moon pack?” My father turned to David without even bothering to ask me if I can finally shift.
“Happy 18th birthday,” my mother said, coming with a cake and placing it on the table as I smiled vividly at her. “Thank you, mum” I beamed with a smile, ready to make a wish.
“Are you going to make a wish?” My mother asked me as I leaned over, ready to blow out the candles. Before I could, I heard my father stand up walking away.
“Don’t worry. I will talk to him,” Mum said with a controlled smile, pushing back the chair as she walked away, 12 months, 365 days today. My father still won’t talk to me because of what happened last year.
Are you okay? Lexa questioned. She seemed concerned about me.
I am fine. I assured her, even though I knew she could also feel my emotions.
“Are you going to make a wish? We want to eat cake” David brought me back to reality as I grinned, blowing the two candles that mum had put in the car as I smiled vividly.
“Don’t pay attention to dad. He’s just not over the fact that a person like you would have been so careless,” He comforted me.
“David, I just had a night out for once in my life. It wasn’t like I was out with strangers, you were there,” I grumbled.
“Yes. But Sam, we couldn’t find you at that party for over five hours. Nobody knows where you went and hell you don’t remember,” He went on as I sighed heavily looking at him.
“I don’t remember. I told you everything I can remember about that night,” I snapped as he lifted his hands in surrender. Nobody ever believes that I couldn’t recall what happened to me.
I had a few drinks like I always do and I remember waking up on my bed the next morning with everyone looking concerned about me.
“If you insist.” He said, standing up from the chair before walking away.
Sammy, what was he talking about? What do you mean you can’t remember what happened? Lexa asked me.
I had a lot to drink. Maybe you can recall something from my past? I asked her. She smiled to be worried and restless.
Don’t worry. My father will come around. Let’s go. I have someone I want you to meet. I said to her, grabbing my phone and a muffin.
I headed to the pack house because I knew he must be busy with the preparations for the ceremony.
Who’s this Austin you keep thinking about? Is he ours?
She wanted to ask me but suddenly stopped... I smiled at myself at the smell of the pleasant smell of rainfall and wildflowers.
“Austin” I resounded
“Mate” Lexa turned as I smiled. I turned, running into his arms. He rushed towards me, wrapping his hand around my waist and picking me up from the ground as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
His lips crushed on mine as I pulled him closer to me. I just wanted to fill him so close to me.
“Mine!” Austin growled. His body pressed against mine>>>>
