I look at Tia to see how she has been taking my story. Her mouth is set in a grim line and she looks as if she’s in deep thought. I have told her about my time in the orphanage. From when I have met Kleavon until Parker died and I got freed from his payroll. Then I told her about Andy, Bryan, and then Lucero who is the reason why I got sent into the Game.
I never talked as much as this before. It feels like I have talked more today than I have ever talked in my entire life. It feels liberating talking to someone about this. As if loads had been lifted off my chest.
