*Her* Elise looked at her calender on her desk and sighed. Today and for the whole following week, she had a time off from university so she could study for exams. Today also means it's the end of the first week of her probation and she only had two weeks of it left. Her last three days with the filing department seemed easy, all she had to do was pull parchments from the completed bon and file them alphabetically. She sighed again and went back to her open books and class lecture notes. A knock on the door surprised her. "Come in.." Elise turned around from her desk and her mother walked in with a tray of warm milk and chocolate chip cookies. "I thought you might need some brain food." Elise smiled. "Thanks mum." Her mother took the glass of milk and handed it to Elise, she then put the plate of cookies next to her text books. Her mother then stepped back and seemed like she was waiting for something. Elise looked at her mother. "What's up mum? You look like you want me to say something?" Her mother was chewing on her bottom lip. "I'm just worried about you sweety. How are things with the dream department? They aren't being to hard on you, are they? I mean it's been a week and you haven't told me how it's going?" Elise took a long sip of the milk and let it's warmness glide down her throat as she closed her eyes. "It's been going ok mum, you don't need to worry. I'm learning alot actually." She opened her eyes and smiled at her mother to reassure her. "I only have two weeks left and I'll be able to go back to my assigned duties. Hopefully." Her mother let out a sigh of relief. "Ok, if you say so sweety." She kissed Elise on the top of her head. "I'll let you get back to studying." Elise turned back around to her books as her mother left the room. Elise looked at the clock she had an hour left untill she had to go to the dream department. She tried to go back to studying, however she had read the same sentence twice and couldn't concentrate. She took a cookie from the plate and took a bite, moaning because they tasted so good. She walked to her stereo and put on some music. She started to hum away to the music as she kept on eating her cookie. When she took the last bite she dusted the crumbs off her hands onto her clothes. She looked back at the plate of cookies and decided to take another one. A sad song came on the radio and Elise stopped in her tracks. She took a bite of her cookie and for some reason she started to think about Ayden. She had to admit, she missed him, with his sarcastic remarks and his tall domineering frame, his broad shoulders....his masculine smell....Elise sighed. "Time for a shower I think, before I have to go to the sleep association." She turned on the water and let it run down her body. She washed her hair and then stood still under the warm water. Her thoughts turned back to Ayden. Why did she suddenly think he was handsome under the brooding exterior, he was quite charming. She slapped her cheeks. "Get it together Elise. He's a...reaper and you are human." As she stepped out of the shower she sighed for the tenth time today. She had to concentrate, she had to get through her probation before things would go back to normal. She stepped out of the bathroom and hugged the towel around her as she grabbed a second towel to dry her hair. Once she was satisfied, she took off her towel and stood Infront of her mirror. She closed her eyes and clicked her fingers. She opened her eyes and she was standing in her uniform. "Ahh...I never get tired of wearing this...it's such an important job...." She fingered the cotton hem of her dress. She looked at her hair in the mirror and frowned. It was now all frizzy and tangled. She clocked her fingers and her hair was now in braids to complete her look. She looked at her clock again and she found she had five minutes to spare so she decided that she would go to the sleep association early today. She smiled to herself as she closed her eyes and spoke the enchantment that would take her to the dream department. She opened her eyes and she was now in the marbled foyer. Her sandles squeeked as she walked. She began to him as she made her way to the filing room. As she got closer, she seen people running and they looked at her as they passed. When she got to the red door, she found the angry goblin running backwards and forwards, sweat was rolling down his wrinkly forehead. When she stepped into the room everyone noticed her and stopped what they were doing. The room went dead silent. The goblin scowled at her before he went back to running around. Elise looked from him to Alora and was surprised that she was there. Alora calmly looked at her, but in a clear stern voice she said "Somnum wishes to see you in his office...I have to...clean up this mess...." Elise was confused but she did as she was told. She walked away from the filing room and made her way to Somnum's office. When she got there, she could see Somnum concentrating on the documents in front of him. She knocked and without looking up from his documents he called out "Come in Elise and sit down." He waved her towards the white chair Infront of his desk. The same one she had sat in on her first day. He stopped shuffling his documents and put his hands flat on his desk. "I called you here, because our filling department is in an uproar...."
