"Lisa, she is my only friend", Lana whispered.
Lisa was about to say something but paused when she heard Lana's little confession.
"What?” she whispered softly. Lisa did hear her sister but she just couldn't believe what she had said.
"You weren't there, okay", and it was true.
Growing up Lisa had always been a talented academic what some might call a genius and this talent was recognized at an early age. That led to her getting a scholarship from primary school through high school hence she and Lana didn't go to the same schools.
Lisa felt guilty for not being there for her little sister but she still couldn't believe that Jessica was Lana's only friend. She had always assumed that Lana was just the innocent kid hanging out with the wrong crowd that had Jessica as the leader.
