ROMAN POV She had to be lying. That wasn’t the plan that Martin and the rest of us had discussed. We all agreed that killing Rogues, male or female, was necessary. They are even more savage than the wolves that are part of packs. At least that’s what I told myself in order to be convinced that it was okay to shoot a female wolf. Learning that a female Rogue was part of the trafficking ring validated the need to get rid of all Rogues. Still, I was more interested in killing the males, since it was obvious the leaders were the ones buying the females and trading them like cattle. The males led the packs, and they were the ones that held the most responsibility, so we agreed to take out as many of the males as possible and imprison the females and pups. Though that wasn’t very realistic.
