CHRIS POV I regret blurting out what happened so bluntly to Mel and Diana. While Diana didn’t know anyone from my pack, mentioning hunters brought up a sore subject. Her eyes were wide, and she quickly went to my side for comfort. Meanwhile, Mel began to panic. “They didn’t hurt anyone, did they? I mean… Adam and…. and…” I took a few steps forward, taking Diana with me, and brought Mel to my other side. When she looked up at me with tears welling in her eyes, I shook my head. “No. The cameras gave them enough time to counter the attack. They used a rocket launcher from a distance. Luckily, they didn’t hit their target because it happened to be the infirmary. Though I doubt they knew that since they couldn’t get close enough to see inside. They would have to have been told where to aim.”
