“Hell no, you can ask for anything but that. I won't let you anywhere near that traitor,” Lucas fumed as he paced around the room.
I pushed myself to sit up as I tried to reason with him.
“Listen to me. I just need to speak with him for a few minutes. Besides, I won't be alone with him. You will be with me. Please, this is all I ask,” I begged.
“But why?” he asked almost in a whisper.
“I need to understand why he did this. There must be a reason. Roman was my friend and I need to understand why he would betray me like this,” I answered.
“Fine, you win but I will remain with you while you speak with him. Any wrong movement from him and I'll snap his neck,”
“Calm down Alpha, I'm sure there won't be any need for that,” I said as I chuckled.
