Scarlett’s POV-
Today was an incredibly normal and casual day at college. Birsha and Damien stuck incredibly close to me while we were at college. Rumors were already spreading among the humans, that I was sleeping with both of them. But those of supernatural birth, suspected we were mates and left it at that.
After I got home from college, I went out for a run. It was the same route I always took. Birsha and Damien apparently wanted to get some things together for my birthday. It is my birthday the day after tomorrow. Tomorrow, I have a pamper session with Amelia, and we are going to have movie nights with my mates and her mates.
I loved to go on a run. It was nice. Feeling the breeze against my skin and face. It is refreshing to me. I love the quiet and the peace it brings me. The sun was starting to set, which is when I turned around and started to head for home. It would be dark by the time I got home, which is how far I ran from my home. That is what I love most about running, seeing how far I can go before I have to turn around and run home. Plus, it was great exercise. I love to exercise. I have a swimming pool that I swim in regularly. Sometimes, I swim in the lake that is on my land. I do some weights but only enough to stay toned, not really for strength.
While I was on the run, I got a call from Amelia. I answered, and asked, “Hey Amelia, what’s up?”
“Did you ask your demons about tomorrow,” she inquired.
“I did. They are both going to come. As they said, they did not want me around a were-bear without them. I told them, I have been around him before without them, but you can imagine how that went,” I chuckled.
She laughed, “Let me guess, don’t go near him without us, were-bears are too provocative and will want to touch virgins, which is what you are.”
“Aye, I know she is a virgin, and I wouldn’t touch her, I have my own sexy ass mates to touch. Speaking of which, Silas, come here,” I could hear Ajax shout in the background.
I laughed, “Well, I will see you all tomorrow and don’t worry, I know he won’t touch me. Those guys, on the other hand.”
“I get that. These two are like that with me. But anyway, Scar, I need to watch my guys have fun,” she giggled, excitedly.
I made fake puking sounds, as I laughed, “Bye, Amelia.”
I could hear her giggling as I cut off the phone. I decided to turn around and make a move back to my home. I wanted to take a shower or a bath. Maybe a bath. I heard a branch snap behind me. I spun around ready to fight, though I was never really trained to, so I had no idea what to do. Even if I could do anything.
“Who is there,” I yelled.
“Just four men, who really didn’t know our Alpha would send us to fetch a sexy little virgin like you,” a man with long curly hair stepped out into the lowering light.
As he spoke, three other men came out of the trees that surrounded me. They circled me like a predatory pack circling their prey. My heart tried to beat faster, and I really tried to take a deep breath to calm myself down. I didn’t want to show them that I was afraid. I could tell by looking at these men that they were werewolves. Given that one of them mentioned Alpha, it helped give me an idea of what they are. Only werewolves call their leaders Alphas. Whatever Alpha ordered this; I did not want to go with them. I suspected that this had something to do with my step-father.
“There is no need to be afraid of us,” a silver-haired older man said.
“Aww come on, she is a virgin, we should break her in for our Alpha, make sure she knows how to please him,” another said.
“Shut your mouth.”
“The Alpha said not to touch her.”
“Just to bring her to him.”
“But she looks so tasty.”
I was trying my hardest to think of a way out. There was no way I could run from them. They have a supernatural speed that I would not be able to match, especially without my demon. Even as I tried my hardest to concentrate on a way out, on a way to save myself, I could only think of Damien and Birsha. It was a moment like this when I would really like them to come to me. I grabbed my phone, and tried to dial for Birsha, while the werewolves were busy trying to decide what to do with me. But one of the werewolves, the one with long hair, snatched it from me. He looked at my phone, and asked, “Who is Birsha?”
“When you are in danger, this is the man you think to call. Who is he,” the silver-haired man asked.
“He is my mate. He is my protector. He is a very powerful demon,” I whispered.
Birsha and Damien were all I could think of. Without my phone, how could I reach out to them? I felt this surge and this connection in my mind. I grabbed at it within my mind. Needing to hold on to it like it was the only connection I had to have right now.
“He is a demon. Why would a she-wolf be mated to a demon,” the silver-haired man spat.
“Because I am not a she-wolf. I am a hybrid, half witch, half demon. Did your Alpha neglect to give you that information,” I responded.
They growled at me, as the silver-haired man hissed, “We should drag this b***h to the Alpha on her knees.”
The connection I could feel, I hoped it would send a message out to them, to Damien and Birsha. I just had to think it, “Damien, Birsha, help me! Werewolves are going to take me. Help me, please.”
A blow landed on my left cheek, as the silver-haired man struck me. It was a hard blow that knocked me to the ground. Two of the guys came up behind me, grabbing me and dragged me to my feet.
“Come on, the car is just the other side of the trees, on the road. Let’s get her in there, before we drive to our Alpha,” the long-haired man said.
I chuckled, “You are all going to die slowly and painfully.”
I was struck again, hard enough across my head, that my eyes became heavy, and my head began to throb. I was struck for a third time, and my consciousness began to waiver. I was afraid of what they would do to me if I ever blacked out. I could not let that happen. I had to force myself to stay awake. I couldn’t feel the connection anymore, and it made me feel so alone. I hoped whatever I did, sent a message or something to them, to Damien and Birsha. I was so weak against these people, as they began to drag me away. Damien and Birsha will come and save me. I know they will. I just have to try and stay awake.
I was dragged to the car and forced inside. My consciousness slipped away for a few seconds. I regained it, and when I did, the car was already on the road moving. I was wedged between two of the werewolves. The long-haired one and the silver-haired one were sitting in the front. They were driving. It was already dark outside. The moon and stars were spread across the night sky, at least until something very familiar spread everywhere. Black eerie smoke spread across the entire road, encircling the entire car, blocking out the moonlight and starlight. The werewolves started to freak out, which only got worse when the car spluttered to a stop. As I whispered, “They have come. Time to die.”
