As the party started, with guests arriving, Birsha stood very close to me. Lust demons can struggle to control themselves in situations like this, especially when there are too many people being intimate in some kind of way. We tried to keep a close eye on Scarlett without crowding her, as she mingled with her friends. Thankfully, most of the supernatural beings at this party avoided us like the plague. Benefits of being demons: they don’t like coming near us too much. We have been known to be friends with some supernatural creatures, but they are still fearful of us, because their powers frequently have little to no effect on us, but our powers can affect them. They also knew that Birsha and I were mated to each other, so that was another reason to stay clear of us.
