The Abused Mate

Chapter six shopping spree

Trish's P.O.V 

  As we drove I looked out of the car window and saw a few deer on the side of the road, eating the fresh cut grass, there was even a bear walking into the woods. 

  "Don't worry sweetie that is just Seth, him and his mate are out walking through the woods." Sandy chuckled, I nodded and wondered what else was out there, I wasn't allowed to do anything except go to school and be in the pack house, cooking and cleaning. After thirty minutes of driving we finally pulled up at the mall and parked the car, two of the guards got out and the third made his way round to my side of the car.

  "Don't worry, they are here to make sure we are not harmed." Sandy said, she must have sensed my worry and fear. I nodded and we both got out, heading inside the mall. I looked around in awe at all the different shops, there were shoe shops, dress shops and jewellery stores. My eyes were wide with excitement, as we walked towards the first shop.  

  "You my sweet dear need a phone." Sandy said, pulling me into an electronics store. The lady behind the counter stood there smiling, as Sandy walked up to the counter.

  "I need a phone, not an itty bitty flip phone, I'm talking about a phone that has a range that won't go out of service. I also need an Android tablet and a laptop that won't go down after a month. I will need chargers and a case for all of them and a screen protector for the cell phone." Sandy said, shocking me with the amount of stuff she was requesting. 

  "What is your favorite color?" Sandy said, turning to me.

  "Purple, sky blue and pink." I replied, wondering why she asked that.

  "I want sky blue for the case for the phone, purple for the tablet and pink for the laptop." Sandy said, turning back to the lady. The lady looked stunned and then bowed to her. 

  "Yes Luna right away." The lady said, turning to go into the back room to get everything. 

  "The King owns most of the city, but we give people the opportunity to build, we never take away from anybody." Sandy said, noticing my confused expression. I nodded and after a few minutes the women came back with everything that Sandy had requested and put it all through the till.  

  "It's going to be $12,345, plus $50 to put the phone on." The lady said, reading out the total and causing my mouth to drop open in disbelief.

  "Holy shit." I said, immediately putting my hand over my mouth. 

  "I'm sorry Luna, I didn't mean to." I started to say, but Sandy held her hand up and stopped me from talking.

  "First, never call me Luna, call me mom. Second, never apologize for that, it's ok Trish, you're surprised and it's ok to be shocked." Sandy said, turning to pay for everything, while I gathered all the bags up. We got outside the store and a guard called Patrick stepped forward, taking the bags off me and leaving to take them back to the car. We waited for him to come back before we headed to the next shop, which didn't take long at all. The next shop we went to was a clothing store and I picked out five shirts, five pairs of pants to match and the belts that go with them. I walked back to Sandy with them in my arms and she took one look at me and turned around, going to the back of the store. When she came back she had her hands full with more shirts, more pants and a few pairs of shorts.

  "Trish we are women and we need clothes. I know you're not used to nice stuff, but it's time you do." Sandy chuckled, taking the clothes we had in our arms and placing them on the counter. We paid for them and went outside, where this time a guard called Dennis took the bags from us and took them to the car, returning shortly after. The next shop we went to was a dress shop, we went inside and the shop was beautiful, the workers in there were wearing some of the dresses to show them off and they were very pretty. Sandy picked out a few dresses and pointed to the dressing room, making me try them on. The first was a classy white dress that had beads on the front and I really didn't like it, so I hung it back up on the hanger. The second one I tried on was a mini dress that showed off my legs, it zipped up the back and I liked it, I took it off and placed it in the keep pile. I did this for a few minutes and then stepped out of the dressing room, hanging the no pile back up and taking the yes pile to the front. I paid for the dresses and walked out of the shop, this time it was Chief's turn to take the bags out, shortly after he returned and we went shoe shopping. We came out with ten pairs of high heel shoes that matched the dresses, a few shoes and five pairs of sandals. We also got shoes for training, leggings and shirts for training as well, next was purses and jewellery. I was worn out and I wasn't used to this at all, when we were done, we headed to get something to eat and then left the mall to head home. We finally got home and I was exhausted, it was a very busy day. 

  "I want to thank you for everything you did for me today." I said, turning and thanking Sandy.

  "I always wanted a daughter. I'm just happy that I could help you, your family now Trish, you just need to remember that." Sandy said, putting her hand on my shoulder and pulling me into a hug. I nodded and walked upstairs to David's room, everything was already in there when I walked into the room. There was a huge change in here, there was another dresser, a vanity table with a chair, the table had all kinds of makeup, brushes and even more jewellery. 

  "I guess I'm not the only one that went shopping today." I thought to myself, smiling as I walked over to the walk-in closet and David's stuff was already moved to the other side. I placed the dresses in the closet, it took me ten minutes to hang all of them up, I walked to the new dresser, running my fingers across it. I turned when David walked into the room and smiled his brightest smile.

  "Do you like it?" David asked me, I happily nodded and he helped me hang my jeans and shirts up, placed the purses and belts in the closet and walked over to fold the shorts and shirts up, placing them in the dresser, with my bras, underwear and socks in the draw. I took my jewellery and placed it on the vanity table, after everything was done, I pulled my new laptop and tablet and placed them on my new desk, putting my new phone next to them. I put all the bags and trash together, taking it downstairs to the trash and went back up. I took my phone and sat on the bed, I never had one before so I wasn't sure how to use it. 

  "Will you help me? I never had a phone before." I asked David, as he sat on the bed next to me.

  "Sure I'll help." David said, showing me how to put phone numbers in. He put his, his mom's and the King's number in the phone and downloaded a couple of games for me, coin master and Lily's garden. He showed me how to play the games and then we laid there talking. 

  "You told me when I was ready I could tell you my story. I feel safe here, so I'll tell you." I said and David nodded for me to continue, while holding my hand.

  "The year me and my family went fishing, we were having fun just spending time together and when it got late in the day we packed up and started heading home, but before we got there rogues attacked and my parents fought back, but there were just too many of them. They turned to me, beating and dragging me across the ground, by the time the pack found me I was beaten, bruised with blood all over me. The pack blamed me for my parents death and ever since then, they abused me and took everything from me, even my virginity. When you found me that day in class, you asked what happened to my face, Alpha Keith slapped me for getting mouthy with him and I guess I deserved it. The night when you brought me here, I killed his mate, I just got so tired of being abused and she told me that she was going to sell me to the King, so he could have fun with me. Something snapped in me, I saw red and I killed her. Alpha Keith saw this and said that he was going to make me his mate, that's when I called for you. I didn't know if it would work or not, but I took the chance and here I am." I said, retelling everything that had happened in my life. I looked down at my hands, tears starting to form in my eyes and I was ready and waiting for him to reject me, but he didn't. David lifted my chin up so that I was looking at him and he smiled. 

  "Never look down. I know you didn't kill your parents, remember we have the rogues in the cell, waiting for you to question them." David said and I nodded.

  "Can we do this now? I need to know why? Why did they go after my family? there are so many questions I want to ask, I need closure David." I asked him, he nodded. 

  "I understand, I already linked mom and dad, they will be waiting for us downstairs." David replied, getting off the bed and holding his hand out for me. 

  "Come on let's go." David said, I grabbed his hand, got off the bed and we both headed downstairs to meet them.

  "Are you sure you're ready for this?" King Kaun asked me. I nervously nodded.

  "I need closure, I need to know why." I said and they all nodded.

  "Then let's go." King Kaun sighed.
