Chapter 11 He's back

Kaun's P.O.V

  Morning came too early and David and Trish unwillingly got up, got dressed and left for school. I had arranged for some of my guards to keep an eye on them and to protect them at all times, but told them that they were to go unseen. I went to my office and set about making calls to other packs, explaining the situation and asking for their help, they all said that they would be here. The last call I made was to the Alpha King, Logan. I dialled his number and waited a few seconds for him to answer.

  "Hello, Logan this is Kaun. How are you?" I said, as soon as he answered the phone.

  "Hello Kaun, I'm good thank you, how are you?" Logan replied and I sighed.

  "I'm doing ok, but I have a problem and I was hoping you could help me with it." I said, trying to imagine Logan's reaction to what I was about to tell him.

  "Anything old friend." Logan replied and I began to explain what had happened, what was going to happen and who I had already called. Logan went quiet for a while and I swear I could feel his anger through the phone.

  "I'll be there soon." Logan said, I could hear the anger in his voice at everything I had told him about what Trish had been through.

  "Thank you, we will all be waiting." I said, hanging up the phone. Everything was starting to come together, old friends were co.ing to help and everything was going to be ready and in place for when Greg attacked. After two days everyone had arrived and we all anxiously waited for the attack, but it never came. Everyone stayed for a further two weeks, but still nothing happened and eventually the Alpha King and the rest of the packs left to return back to their own territories.

Two Years Later…..

  Greg's P.O.V

  It had been two years since I left my pack in search of more rogues to fight and help take over the vampire king's territory and throne. I began to think like a rogue, not showering, eating from the forest, attacking and taking what is not mine. I was wild and untameable, but I had never forgotten about Trish and David. I came back to my old pack and I was a little confused when everyone was excited to see me. My Beta, Samuel came forward, he knew that I had turned fully rogue, but he still approached me.

  "Alpha it's ok, you are back on your pack grounds. You've been gone for two long years. Where did you go? What did you do?" Beta Samuel asked me, welcoming me back, I turned and looked around.

  "I've been looking for other rogues for help, but I guess I forgot about me and forgotten who I was. I have seen and done many of the things that they did, but I don't like smelling like one. Where is my mate?" I replied, looking round for her.

  "Sir, when she thought you weren't coming back she found another mate and went to his pack." Beta Samuel said, causing me to shrug.

  "Who cares, I'm glad she's gone. Maybe I'll find a better mate, better than her." I said, brushing the thought of her off.

  "So is the plan still on to attack the vampire King and destroy Trish." Beta Samuel said and looked back to him, nodding.

  "Yes, I know I've been gone for two years, but I still want that throne. I found another pack of rogues, but they were of no use and just wanted to be left alone, to live their way. We have our pack and the rogues that did want to join, I think we have over nine hundred of us." I replied and Samuel looked surprised, his jaw dropping open when I said we had nine hundred. After all the biggest pack he had ever known was the Green River Pack and they were still growing.

  "I say that's more than enough sir, I'm sure they don't have that many and if they did they would run when they saw our numbers." Beta Samuel said, composing himself.

  "I say they will. Have you heard from Gary?" I asked, but he just shook his head.

  "Not in a long time, maybe he's dead." Beta Samuel replied, shrugging his shoulders.

  "I doubt that, I'll try and mind link him." I said, I stood there for a bit, then I finally broke through.

  "Hey Gary, are you still with us? I'm back, you still want to join us?" I mind-linked Gary, It took a few minutes and then he replied.

  "Hey man, long time no talk, it's been years. Where have you been?" Gary replied.

  "I went looking for help and on the way I turned rogue, but I'm back and me again." I said, answering his question. 

  "That's great man." Gary replied.

  "Where are you? Do you still want to help overthrow the king of vampires?" I asked him, curious as to what he had been doing all this time. 

  "Sure man, I don't have nothin else to do. when is it going to go down?" Gary replied.

  "In a few months, I need to get back to fully me and then we attack." I said.

  "Alright man, I'm out of town right now, but I'll start heading back, just let me know when." Gary replied.

  "Alright dude, will do." I replied, cutting the link off.

  "Well, did you talk to him?" Beta Samuel asked me, after waiting for me to finish.

  "Yes, he's out of town, but he's on his way back. He's in with us." I replied, walking into the pack house with Beta Samuel at my side.

  Gary's  P.O.V

  I was laying in bed, watching tv when I got a mind-link from Greg. We all thought he had changed his mind since there was no attack, but when I got the link, I was a little surprised. He's been gone for two years and told me that he actually went rogue, he asked if I still wanted to help take over, saying yes and just let me know when. I jumped out of bed as soon as the link was cut off and ran downstairs to find Sandy and Kaun in the living room with David and Trish who graduated a little over a year ago and are now planning their wedding before heading off to college, they're both going to Yale. I walked into the living room and saw that they were watching ID TV, the cops on the TV had a man in the interview room and they were asking him why he killed his wife. I cleared my throat and they all looked up at me smiling, but the smiles faded as soon as they looked at my face.

  "What's wrong Gary?" Kaun said, standing up. I told them about Greg mind-linking me out of the blue and everything that was said between us. 

  "He said in a few months, as soon as he gains his mind back he's coming. He went rogue forgetting about himself, he's determined to get Trish and to overthrow you for the throne." I explained and Kaun nodded. 

  "Well that's going to be hard to do, but we will get our friends back over here, I'm sure they will come and join in on the fight. Tomorrow we will make the calls again and see what everyone will say. Trish is stronger now, but we need a plan." Kaun said and suddenly Trish got up and started pacing.

  Trish's  P.O.V 

  "I think I might have an idea. David you might get angry, but just listen to my idea." I said, looking at David. 

  "Ok." David wearily nodded, I knew he was going to hate the idea, but it was worth a shot.  

  "David, you can mark me, so that we can mind-link. I'll say I'm going for a run and let Greg capture me, then I can mind-link you and let you know where I'm at all times." I said, my wolf doesn't like the idea and keeps growling in my mind. Since Skyler came that day, we had a long talk and I was still scared of mating with David, but I was ready now, I just wasn't sure how to tell him, but in time I will.

   "No, absolutely Not. I'll mark you if that is what you are wanting me to do, but you will not go on your own. He could hurt you before we even get there, you've been through to much Trish." David growled, not liking the idea. I was stunned by his sudden outburst and turned to look at him.

  "Yeah that's what I have been wanting, but I haven't known how to tell you. You stupid head." I confessed and David just laughed at the name I just called him. shaking his head, he crossed his arms,

  "YOU WILL NOT GO OUT ON YOUR OWN!" David said, shaking his head and crossing his arms, I rolled her eyes 

  "FINE, but don't get all Alpha on me, you know that doesn't work on me." I said and now it was his turn to roll his eyes. Kaun looked at us both. 

  Gary's P.O.V 

  "Will you to hush, alright Gary just keep tabs with him and tell him you will be back in a month, try and get some more details, maybe even meet up with him in a month. I know you don't want to, but you've got to keep up with the charade, he thinks you're still a rogue." Kaun said, I nodded, even though I didn't like the idea of going back out there to see him, but this was my family now and I wasn't about to let anyone hurt them. The plan was set, tomorrow the Alpha was going to make phone calls and then everything will be set in place.
