The Abused Mate

Chapter 14 movement calls to make

Gary's P.O.V 

  As we stepped onto the territory, one of the guards came up to us, chuckling and waving his hand in front of his face. 

  "Gary man you need a shower, you stink." The guard said, making me laugh, until his hazel green eyes landed on Rachel.

  "Who's this lovely lady?" The guard asked, causing Rachel to blush.

  "She's my mate, I found her when I went to get information from Greg." I proudly said, looking at Rachel.

  "Well get going, the king should be waiting for you." The guard said, I nodded and we started walking towards the castle, when suddenly Rachel stopped walking and nervously gripped my hand.

  "Do you think he will like me? I've heard he is a cruel man and that he would torture anyone." Rachel asked me, I looked confused.

  "Don't be scared, things will be just fine." I said, pulling her close to me holding her tightly and inhaling her scent. It's been a long time for me and I wanted to make sure she's safe. 

  "Kaun I'm bringing in my mate, is it ok?" I asked him through the mind-link.

  "You found your second chance mate, that is wonderful." Kaun replied, excitedly.

  "She's a little nervous, but we are in the territory." I said, nervously awaiting his reply.

  "I'm sure we will love her the same as we love you, we can't wait to meet her, I've already told Sandy." Kaun said, making me release a breath of relief.

  "Yes sir, I also have information, I'll meet you in the living room." I replied, shutting the link off. Rachel and I walked into the castle and went straight to the living room, where everyone was there waiting, except Trish. I wish she was here so she could meet Rachel, but she will once when she wakes up. Kaun looked at me and my mate Rachel and Sandy came forward, smiling at us. 

  "Welcome dear, it makes me so happy that the moon goddess gave Gary a second chance mate." Sandy said, Rachel smiled and thanked her, but she was a little shy and Sandy could tell. 

  "Come sit down with us and tell us why you were in that awful pack." Sandy said, but Rachel shuddered at the memory, as she sat down, she sighed and then began to talk. 

  "Greg called his pack the Red Devil pack. He killed my family and made me a slave, making me clean, cook and everything  else. Tonight when Gary came, Greg was going to make me sleep with him, but I've never slept with anyone before, I was saving myself for my mate. I was eavesdropping when I smelled his scent, it was a hint of cut grass and the smell of the forest, all I could do was hope he would see me and take me with him. He saw me and I was a little scared, because he acted so much like a rogue, but once when we left he explained that we are mates and he just acted like that to get me out of there." Rachel said, we all listened to her and Sandy was the only one that smiled. 

  "I'm sorry you had to go through that alone, but we are your family now and we go through everything together. You will meet Trish once she is done changing." Sandy said, holding Rachel's hand and gently squeezing it. 

  "I'm sorry, I'm a little tired, it's been a long time for me to be able to just relax and enjoy other's company." Rachel said, yawning.  

  "Come on, I'll show you our room." I said, standing up and holding out my hand, she nodded and stood up.

  "Welcome to the family Rachel, we will go over the rules once you get your rest." Kaun said, smiling and then I remembered what I wanted to tell him. 

  "Oh I almost forgot, Greg said he has over nine hundred to attack and he will be here in two months, so we need to get prepared." I said, stopping in my tracks and facing Kaun. 

  "I'm on it, don't worry." Kaun replied, I nodded and then led Rachel upstairs to our room. When the door shut, I held her close, inhaling her scent. I licked her neck where I will mark her and she moaned softly, as I led her to the bed. I sat down and as she stood in front of me I softly caressed her legs, all the time goosebumps were forming on her arms. 

  "I'll be gentle." I whispered, pulling her onto the bed and getting on top of her. We made love through the night and marked each other, all the time I was so glad this room was sound proof. 

  David's P.O.V 

  The next morning I was laying next to Trish and was suddenly woken up, when I felt her hand move. I watched her closely, but her hand didn't move, her chest was moving up and down as she breathed, it was a slight movement, but at least she moved her hand. I stayed awake the rest of the morning, until my mother came into the room.

  "She moved her hand and scared the hell out of me, but she has had no other movement at all." I said, turning to mom.

  "It's ok David, this is expected. She will move around a bit, she's wanting to know that you're still there. Talk to her and let her know she is still loved. I need to go back downstairs, your father will be making more phone calls today." My mom said, smiling at me.

  "I'm not leaving her side right now, just let dad know." I replied, she nodded and shut the door behind her

  Sandy's P.O.V

  I walked downstairs, hearing Kaun on the phone, he was talking to Seth.

  "Yeah if you can bring a few hundred, they will never suspect bear shifters at all…. Will Skyler be joining you? Good good….we have a new member her name is Rachel, she's Gary’s mate." I heard Kaun say down the phone, so I walked in and picked up the other extension to listen in. Seth was on the other line listening, he smiled into the phone, 

  "It's great he found his second chance mate, I'm sure Skyler would love to meet her. We will be there next week, just have our room ready and a few hundred ready, I'll bring the pack, Greg won't come out of this alive. We will see you then." Seth said and hung up the phone, Kaun looked at me after he hung up the phone and his eyes wide.  

  "He said he's bringing a few hundred, lucky for us we have all these rooms. We need to open up that other kitchen we built, we're going to need it." Kaun said, causing me to chuckle, I knew he was excited. We walked down the hall towards a few doors and opened them up to the new kitchen, everything matched and that's what I liked. 

  Kaun's P.O.V 

  "Get everyone together we need to do some hard core training." Sandy said, looking over at me, I nodded. 

  "Everyone, meet out on the training ground, we have a lot of training to do." I said, mind-linking everyone, but then David privately mind-linked Sandy and I back.

  "I'm not leaving her right now, I'll be out later." David said and then shut off the link. I looked to Sandy and she started to explain what had happened earlier, I understood after that. 

  "Well let's get going, we're going to do some fighting." I said, we both took off out the doors to the training grounds and I saw that everyone was already out there, waiting.

  "Let's do this." I said, looking at Sandy.
