Crystal Raine Meadows
I left early at Ate Kathy's house as I've decided to look for a place where I could train alone without anyone seeing me do it.
Ate Kathy still insisted on me having a tutor even before I went to sleep, she can't force me because I don't want to! Just kill me because I'm not having a freaking tutor, I could do this alone!
After arriving at the University, it took me a lot of time roaming around the deserted places since it was just literally like 5 AM.
I thought about this plan last night, but it was a bad idea coming here this early. The rooms were locked and some places looked really terrifying and eerie to visit.
My feet brought me to the gardens and sat on the bench there to rest because I was pacing a lot for a while and I haven't gotten any luck on finding a room for myself.
I stayed up late and haven't eaten breakfast yet, I just sighed and didn't notice that my eyelids were getting heavier when I fell into a deep slumber.
And there's that dream again, it's Calyx alone in that dark space again. Why is he always in my dreams? I don't understand.
Is this a nightmare? Why does it keep telling me that he needs help? But he doesn't reach out to me whenever I ask or even answer me.
"C-Calyx, w-what's wrong?" I called out as I noticed him hiding in that corner again. Why is he always here?
I closed my eyes when the scene changed and revealed to me his attractive and intimidating presence when he's offering his hands to me.
As usual, he wasn't talking to me. He's just looking at me intently with those red pools of eyes like it's asking me to drown with him.
His red glinting eyes bear a lot of emotion and I couldn't believe that I'm reading fear in there, what is he so scared about?
And why the heck does he always appear in my dream? I'm not freaking fantasizing about him, this is freaking ridiculous!
But I couldn't help but get worried about his sake, he looks really bothered about something while he's offering his hands to me.
"Woman, woman, wake up jeez!" I heard someone calling me, so I grunted before blocking my ears with my bare hands.
"S-Stop, Ate Kathy, it's just 5 AM," I complained and gasped when I remembered I went to our University at 5 AM.
My eyes went wide open and were hurt by the rays of the sunlight that's visible among the vast bright blue skies.
I roamed my eyes around my surroundings and was greeted by Calyx that doesn't bear any emotion on his appealing face while he's standing on my side.
My hands formed into a grip when I remembered that dream about him, I just shook my head and cleaned myself.
"W-What's your problem? Is it school time already?" I curiously asked while stretching my sore joints.
"It's just 7 AM and our class starts at 8 and my problem is that you're in my space," he stated while pointing at the bench that I was sitting in, so I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
"S-So you're telling me that you woke me up just to get your space here that doesn't even have a name of yours?" I furiously asked, but he just stared at me intently. He looks like he doesn't care about my statement.
"Move or I'll carry you out of the way, nerd," he coldly stated, so I scoffed before standing up as he proceeded to sit over there.
"You're a jerk," I whispered, but he didn't mind me as he placed a book on his face before deciding to cross his legs against each other.
I just sighed when he didn't respond to me, it looks like he didn't give damn care this freaking early in the morning.
He acts like this, but he didn't even hesitate on helping me yesterday when I fainted, Jenny told me that in the letter.
I still find it so hard to believe since he's like this, he doesn't look like he's the type to do that kind of thing.
"H-Hey," I called out, but he didn't even budge when I called him. Sometimes, you will not know how to deal with this kind of person.
"I don't know if you can hear me or what, but I'm not as rude as you," I sighed before scratching the back of my head. Why am I even having this conversation with this rude, ruthless, and I think egocentric man?
But I'm not going to be heartless like him, I'll still have to be thankful because he did something for me.
"I-I heard what happened to me and what you did there to save me," I mumbled while playing with my fingers, "I wanted to thank you for that," I exhaled out a lungful of air before turning my back on him.
"And wake up before the class could even start, don't be an irresponsible student," I ordered before leaving and went to our classroom.
I almost forgot about the rumors that have been circulating at the university, I just hope all people here won't look at me differently.
My head is low while I'm trying to find my way towards my room, rumors are still spreading because it's still fresh because it just happened yesterday.
It was a bad idea to come here this early, this sucks for me because my friends are probably not here yet.
"Crys! I didn't know that you were here already!" I was greeted by a tight hug by Jenny, so I just sighed in relief.
"Oh great, you're here, I thought I'm going to be alone," I smiled while breaking our hugs against each other.
"So, are you alright now?" she worriedly asked, so I just chuckled before nodding at her. She's still worried about me.
"I'm fine, you don't have to worry about me that much, how was dinner yesterday?" I curiously asked so she started narrating to me what happened last night.
She told me that she was so nervous that she's about to puke what they were eating. I know how strict her parents were and she even asked for help about that matter before because she was depressed about it.
But what interested me the most is when she told me that Rowen handled the dinner with her parents pretty well.
He was not nervous and he answered questions thoroughly, which Jenny said she deeply appreciated.
I smiled while she's still narrating to me about what happened last night, even if she doesn't tell me, I could tell how much she's falling deeper for Rowen.
We both sat in our chairs and didn't mind the stares of the people around our room, we're both too busy in our own little worlds.
It's always been like that ever since we've been together as friends, we're fine just having each other.
"Good morning!" The door was slammed open by Liam as he decided to run to where we are right now.
"Good morning, Liam, you're energetic this morning," I beamed, so he just laughed before tapping the table right in front of us.
"Good morning too, my mate and her friend," Rowen arrived, so we glanced at the door and witnessed him go on Liam's side.
"Good morning," Jenny and I greeted him, but she blushed right after she said that, so he just smiled and patted her head before caressing her cheeks.
"Good morning indeed my beautiful mate, did you eat?" he asked, so Jenny blushed even more as they started talking about what they did this morning.
"Hey, are you alright now? Their eyes are still on you," Liam got my attention, so I just nodded at him while biting my lower lip.
"I-I'm anxious, but I'm alright, I should just ignore them," I smiled, so he just gave me his brightest smile.
"I'm so glad to hear that and I've heard that we're finally choosing our permanent seats from now on, can I sit on your back guys?" he asked, so I shook my head and gave him space on the side.
Our setting and table can fill up four people, so we could fit and Jenny will be able to sit with her mate.
"Just sit here, you don't have to sit on the back," I smiled and offered him that chair. He looked surprised for a moment as he accepted the chair I gave to him.
"Thank you, this means a lot to me," he beamed, so I just chuckled as we talked about random things before the bell would even ring.
I didn't notice the time until the door was slammed closed by someone, we glanced at who it was and noticed the student council group together with Calyx who looked furious about something.
"Calyx, you looked highly pissed a while ago and now you're even more worst? What's the problem?" Peter sighed before glancing at me.
He stopped for a moment when he realized who's sitting on my side. He looked like he noticed what was his problem for a moment, "Dude, let's just proceed at the back where our seat--" Calyx rudely interrupted him as he seated at our back.
Our group looked surprised at what happened, "We're sitting right here," he coldly stated behind us.
His student council friends have no other choice but to follow him, after all, they fit in one or two tables together.
"If you're jealous you could've just told us and we'd--" I heard a loud slamming of fist from behind to shut David Ronin up, jeez.
"Will you shut up David? My eyesight is bad, if you don't want to sit here then go ahead and be my guest at the back," Calyx firmly said, so none of them talked until our professor arrived.
Why is he so rude even to his friends? Can't he be nicer? They were being considerate of his ruthless behavior.
After Mr. Light arrived, he started talking about the things that I'm quite familiar with about the past.
There were a lot of recitations, but I managed to answer them all as usual. I should be proud of myself, but I felt uneasy whenever I stood up and a lot of students were eyeing me intently.
Some of them have these nice stares and some of them have the stare of insults. I just shook my head because I promised myself not to dwell on those things, but here I am getting so worked up about it.
"Hey," Liam tapped my shoulders, so I stared at him intently, "Are you alright? You look pale and worried about something," he worriedly asked, so I just smiled while shaking my head.
"N-No, I'm fine, just nervous that's all since it's almost training at the fields again," I didn't lie because I'm also nervous about that, so he stopped for a moment before nodding as he reached out to my hands and gripped it.
"You'll be fine, we'll help you alright?" he beamed, so I just smiled because he's such a decent guy. His mate will be so lucky to have someone supportive like this on their side.
I heard a loud stomp behind my back, but I didn't mind it. I could hear laughs also, they're probably doing something to make Calyx pissed. Sometimes it's weird to witness that kind of friendship.
The last bell rang and we decided to fix our thing as we decided to go to our locker rooms and get changed.
"Ms. Meadows, may I speak with you for a moment? And you too, Calyx," Mr, Light called, so my eyes widened before glancing at my friends. Jenny looked worried as I gestured to them to go and I'll be fine.
All of the people inside of the classroom eventually left and only me, Mr. Light, and Calyx remain inside of the room.
I'm surprised that he stayed with Mr. Light's request, I didn't know he's still decent enough to follow orders from the professor.
"So I'm pretty sure that you both know why you're here," he stated, so I furrowed my eyebrows for a moment while playing with my fingers.
"A-Am I in trouble? But I didn't do anything," I curiously asked, so Mr. Light looked at me before shaking his head.
"No, I'm here to introduce you to your new tutor at the fields, you'll be given separate rooms to train but if you're comfortable, you could train at the fields, someone requested these for the two of you," my eyes widened at what he said. What the hell?!
