Alton's droning voice fades in and out as I keep my eyes on Mr. Vincent's face, trying to determine if he is going to agree to our proposal or not. To say that I was actually nervous was an understatement, given how hard not only I but also Alton and the rest of my team worked to get to this point. There was a lot riding on this deal, and if we lost it, then all my plans and hard work would be for nothing.
“If you'd like to do a trial cooperation in the meantime, we are willing to work with that,” Alton says now, throwing out our trump card.
