Gabriella was covered in so much make up she could barely recognize herself, but she knew better than to complain. The girl applied a lot of concealer on her face and neck to cover the bruises and redness. Throughout the time, Gabriella tried to talk to the girl while she worked on her face, but just like the other staff, the girl just nodded and said nothing to her. The other maids who had come in to arrange her luggage when she had arrived had even said a few words to her when she tried to join them in putting her belongings together but they had been careful not to be caught.
