Erick's POV:
Peyton decided to stay here a few days with the whole Jamie going into heat situation , to make sure nothing else happened to her as well as ease the pain if that ever happened again.Hank decided to stay with for a few more days and I would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't excited.
Hank was watching the Lycan shift, watching them get use to shifting a certain body part and attacking.A few tween Lycans were on the field and the poor boy that was currently sparring looked like he was struggling.
"The time you take to shift and bring out your claws is the time I would take to rip your throat out, Your too slow" The instructor stated after kicking the poor kid in the gut.
I saw Hank flinch when he heard the cracking sound.
"He'll be fine, Our bones heal and snap back into place as soon as they break" I patted him on the back and reassured him.
"Your packs training methods are pretty hard core"He moved away from my touch and I almost let out a whimper.
"Lycans aren't thought to love and care like wolves are, it wouldn't have made us the hunters we are today"I replied.
"But a little care wouldn't hurt once in awhile"
"He's lucky he didn't get a cracked skull like when I was a kid"
Hank gasped and looked up at me worried.
"It's just sad you guys don't get to be normal kids."
"We can't be normal like wolves are , we are born with the ability to shift , we don;t get time to mature into it, so we need to train our instincts as soon as possible so when we're adults things become effortless, like instinct."
"But it wouldn't hurt to show a little love or ease up off them a little bit"
"Will the enemy ease up on them on the battle filed?"
"They're completely different things, they're kids they should be able to act like one , not knowing how to kill a person as soon as they can walk!"
"Well you learn how to swim before you walk, You get kicked off into a 20 feet pool of water"
"Why do you Lycans have to be so heartless?!"
"how do you Wolves have to be so weak?!"
"Sorry to know that loving someone is considered a weakness in your book"
He got up and stormed off in a random direction.
Shit.
"Hank , I didn't mean it like that" I called after him
"Hank!"
"Hank!"
I got up and chased after him.
Yola's POV:
Jasmine and I overheard Hank's and Erick's argument.
"Is that true?" I turned to her.
"It's even worse for Lycan's that haven't been in Shadow moon for the early stages of our lives, The fact that I became so strong in the 5 years I've been here is considered a rare prodigy. Most kids give up in a year or become Farmers for the pack and are highly looked down upon" She replied.
"That must've been so hard for you" I pulled her into a hug.
"It was tough but Jamie is really working hard to change the System, She's training all Lycans to fight and defending themselves but not as hard as a warrior so not every member in the pack has to become a hunter or guard but you should be able to fight off shifters from the gallows."
"That , does sound like a good idea, Jamie does sound like an awesome person"
"She is....." She looked down with a guilty and sad look in her eyes.
"What's wrong ?"I asked worried
"Nothing just thinking about how it was growing up in the Gallows. "
"You never have to think about those days again, I'll help you forget" I pecked her on the lips and brought her to the Rapeseed field she showed me yesterday and we played around and I shifted and licked her face and we rolled round in the flowered butt naked.
Things couldn't get more perfect than this. I just got Jasmine and there'a a lot I don't know about her but I can't wait too.She'll tell me the things she's hiding from me soon enough until then, I won't go through her head with my powers.
Jamie's POV:
So status update is Peyton still her, yes very much so and has he been following me around sneakily all day, yes he's like a freaking shadow and does he think i don't notice , yes and do i think it's very cute , very much so and will I tell him to stop, yes but do I want too, No but I got to do it so I can investigate the gang of wolves against our relationship and so he can hate me and reject me first.
"I know you're there , Peyton" I sated and he shyly came out from behind the shelf as I was talking to some Pack members.
"Hi" He waved at me with slight bluh on your cheeks.
"My parents agreed to you staying here for a few days but I didn't agree to you following me around all day" I stated.
"It's the only way I can stay near you" He stated.
AWE
"Well , I don't want you near me" With those words I left and walked out of the house.
"Don't you think , Your a little too hard on him?" I turned around to see my mom.
"Yes and it hurts me but I have to do what's best for the pack"I stated.
"And rejecting your mate and staying lonely and miserable forever is your idea of what's best for the pack?"
"I-" I had nothing to say back to that.
"Love him , the pack will understand and your dad and and I and also a lot pack members like him already"
"I know mom but there are some that don't and I don't want to have to choose between the pack and him"
"And when did you care about the minority that object , you always said 'They'll get over it' "
"I know but this isn't just about Lycans , It's about werewolves too" I explained.
"Have they formed group to stop you guys from mating"
I looked up at her and gave her the yes look and motioned with my eyes to the Lycan hiding in the bushes spying on us.
'I'll look into it' She said over mindlink.
"Do whatever you think you have to do and if rejecting him is whats best for the pack then you do that, Your father and I always raised you to be the perfect Alpha" She said and patted me on the shoulder.
'The group is still small so I don't think violence is needed in subduing them' I informed over mindlink.
'Don't worry we'll stop it before it starts and you can just mate with Peyton'
'About that the opposition isn't the problem but it's the fact that he's a guy'
'You can't always get what you want my little prince'
She patted me on the head and left.
Who knew finding my mate would cause so mush drama.
