The first thing that I did was check for Michael's pulse. My fingers flew to his neck as I knelt down beside Angel boy on the ground. His skin felt cold against mine. Panic rushed through me for a moment when I failed to feel the rhythm of his pulse over the loud beating of my own heart. Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and tried again. Relief flooded my system when I felt the slightest movement underneath my fingers. I released the breath I didn't realize I was holding and swept the hair that fell over Michael's eyes aside. "Michael," I whispered, staring into his sleeping face. A slight tug pulled at my heart as I realized it was the first time I was this close to him since we had our fight. My mind told me to stand back and stay away, but my heart longed for the contact of h
