(Maya POV)
"Where were you?" Vince asked as I was going to open the door to my bedroom.
"With a friend," I shrugged as I entered my room. But before I could close the door he barged in and turned to face me.
"Which friend?" he asked crossing his hands over his chest.
"None of your business," I said rolling my eyes as I walked past him to my closet.
"Did you hurt yourself? Your forehead is red" he said as I paused and ran my hand through the almost healed wound.
"Yea. I just hit my head earlier" I said as I started searching for a night wear since I was in desperate need of a shower. Suddenly I felt sparks from behind making me freeze.
His hands made way around my waist making me tense. I could feel both of our hearts beating fast at the closeness. My breath hitched as I felt his breath on my neck.
He sniffed my neck a few times before releasing a growl. We stayed like that for God knows how long before he backed away from me.
"You don’t smell like another male" he muttered as I looked at him in shock.
"What?!" I shouted as his eyes widened realizing he said it out loud.
"Did you think I cheated on you?!" I asked as anger started to build up.
"I... I... Umm..." he stumbled looking at everything but me.
"How dare you?! You have no right! After you rejected me, you have no damn right!" I fumed as he let out a very dark and angry growl.
"I didn’t reject you!" he growled as he caged me to the wall.
"Really? Are you sure about that? I beg to differ" I said as he let out a frustrated sigh.
"I didn’t f*****g reject you!" he said as I let out a huff.
"Really? Cause as far as I know telling another wolf, that too a mateless wolf, that your mate is not your mate is clearly a rejection" I said with a dark chuckle to which he let out another growl.
I winced in pain as he grabbed hold of both my wrist before putting them above my head.
He looked at me with his silver moon eyes and I couldn’t help but feel like falling into a trance.
I shook my head mentally scolding myself before I started struggling.
"Let go of me!" I shouted struggling but he didn’t even budge.
I let out a huff as I glared at him. His eyes roamed through my face taking in my features. Finally, it settled on my lip making me involuntarily lick it.
His eyes turned black before emitting a dominating growl making me whimper.
Within a second his lips collided mine making me gasp in shock. He took the opportunity to stick his tongue into my mouth. His kiss was fierce and eager as if trying to prove to me that I was wrong.
At some point, I stopped struggling as I felt myself slip into the kiss. I started kissing back to which he loosened his grip on my wrist.
Slowly he let go of my wrist moving it down, before settling it on both sides of my waist. I let out a moan as he gave me a squeeze.
My hands went up around his neck and grabbed his hair. He gave out a dominating growl making me give out a shiver.
Almost immediately I felt him tense; his lips froze on top of mine. I opened my eyes to see what was wrong.
Vince moved back, away from me. His eyes were wide and in shock.
"Is anything wrong Vince?" I asked, my voice a little rough from the previous activity.
"s**t!" he said as he ran his hand through his already messed up hair. "I’m sorry I kissed you. I lost control" he said before speed walking out the room.
I stood there frozen shocked at the turn of events.
What the hell happened? Did he just ditch me? Did he regret this?
I sat on the bed as my eyes started to water. I can’t believe I fell for this. I can’t believe I thought that he accepted me.
I’m such a fool!
I need to release my anger. I need to forget this bullshit.
I need to drink.
I took out a crumpled paper from my pocket. It was Edwards’s phone number.
But I don't have a mobile. I looked here and there searching for a land phone.
Damn it. Now, I have to go down to the living room.
I walked down the stairs to the living room. There were a few teenagers sitting on the sofa watching some show. I quickly walked to the land phone on the left corner and dialed his number.
"Hello?" a voice came through.
"Um, Hi.Um. Edward" I said as a yes came out from the other side.
" Um hey. It’s me, Maya." I said nervously.
"Oh! Maya. Glad to hear your voice" he said surprised.
"I was wondering if you would like to go out for some drinks... That is if you’re free." I said as he laughed.
"Yea. Right now I’m on guard duty. I’ll be free in an hour. Meet me by the back door" he said.
"Yea ok. Bye. See you then" I said before I hung up.
'Perfect' I thought before walking back to my room to get dressed.
