I had to slam the breaks when Rhea jumped to the middle of the road. Letting us through definitely wasn’t her intention.
“Rhea! Let us go! If you’re here means you know what is going on. You’ve seen it. You had to see it. So why are you here blocking us?” I asked her, not hearing her thoughts at all. She only scoffed at me, not moving from the spot.
“Why would you even need to do this? We are members of the same pack, why do you think that us helping her to find her brother and find the scroll goes against our own interests? We are bound by the treaty to protect her family. By David’s mistake, we didn’t manage to save her parents, she and her brother were kidnapped. She was tortured and who knows what he’s done to her brother! You can’t be serious that you’re oblivious
