Gard was right. If Alpha Kai was that powerful, then he must have known that I was going to visit the priestess, so why was he pretending and acting all clueless like he didn't have the slightest idea that I knew what a master he was and what he did to stay young.
"You are right, Gard. But why do you think he is pretending? Is it because he has other plans for me?" I began overthinking things like I usually do, but Gard calmed me down.
"That's something we should think of later. For now, this fight is important, and we need to try to make you win if that will get us out of here." Gard told me and I nodded and tried to think less about how Alpha Kai would drain my own energy out of me.
