I had finally graduated from Alpha training - three months early too! We had a small awards ceremony after dinner on our last night, and it was there it was announced I would be graduating. The look on the faces of the other guys was a picture! Ha, I bet they were regretting the nights they had spent in front of the games console now when I had pushed myself to study and train.
They were all returning home for a month’s break, and would return to Alpha training camp after that break for another three-month spell. Me, however, I was finished. All completed and with honours too. Top of the group, with high respect from all of my tutors and trainers. The only downside was that my Dad had not been there to see my graduate.
