The keys jangling in the lock of my apartment pulled me from my drowsy cuddling with Louis, he smiled at me as I moved to sit up straighter. “Good morning Amelia,” Marcus said as he walked through the door, a white pastry box in his hands as he slipped my keys onto the hook on the wall.  His warm smile made my heart beat faster and I stood to follow him into the kitchen, my fingers skimming along Louis’ arm as I walked past him. I leaned against the counter, watching as Marcus pulled down plates and started sorting out the muffins he had picked up for us.  I sucked in a breath as the morning sunlight filtered through the windows. It brought out the blue tones in his black hair. He looked up at me and butterflies fluttered to life in my stomach as he stepped closer, that familiar rolling
