My mind swirled with nervous energy as I walked beside Louis, our steps sounding loud on the pavement.
“Little one,” he whispered as he leaned closer to me and I jumped away.
“Distance,” I hissed out, “You agreed, we’d talk to HR first.”
“Relax, it won’t matter soon, anyway.” He said moving closer as he brought his hand up to brush my hair from my eyes.
