"Are you sure Rebs ?
I'm so scared to lie to my father" I murmur as I stare at my best friend who is pulling up her baggy pants over the tiniest dress she's wearing underneath those baggy pants and a loose shirt.
"Live it up Lilly" she shrugs as she turns around facing me
"It's my eighteenth birthday today and I want to party.
Party as f**k.
Next year we will be the high school seniors at school.
Remember?
And I want us to be that sexy seniors who the juniors will look up to"
Rebecca, my best friend stresses her words like she's swearing her solemnly oath in front of a public who needs to accept and believe her.
"I don't know.
You know about my dad ,he will get to know whatever we do
Sometimes even before we do anything" I shrug as I lift the misery of my life
But having fun and partying seems like a dream ,like you want to do those at least once in your life.
But it's not possible ,till I leave for college somewhere far where ill not be the one and only mayor's daughter.
My father Robert Holt ,is the mayor of the Fallon's city and he owns extreme connections in our small west Fallon town.
And the place treats me like a sacred princess, everybody knows me as the mayor's daughter.
Who shows the respect for being mayor's daughter and I can't help it ,but play with it even when I clearly despise it.
I am seventeen now and at first I used to enjoy the power and its other added tags like no teachers used to question me for anything.
My father was chief guest in all the school events ,which made me feel super cool.
And also outside school like when people used to stop on their way to wish me a simple good morning or get me first through the crowd while I'm out in a restaurant.
It felt fancy but as I started growing a little older, I started to hate it.
Especially after all Ryan thing
He was my first boyfriend or my secret boyfriend.
Because my father believes that I shouldn't have one until I am eighteen.
But my classmates are so head of me.
And I'm like this one little virgin in a pool of dark swans.
Well Rebecca is too, so I'm not alone in this world untouched territory.
Her father is the deputy commissioner, the senior cop in town, so we run with at least similar rules in the house.
Even she had a boyfriend but broke up after her first date when her father found them, full on hands with one and another in the backseat of her ex's car

Ryan, was picking me up from two blocks away from my house
And I was supposed to spend the dinner with him
Maybe we could have gone back to his place, stay the night.
But then, I'm not sure how my father got to know.
He reached before I did and scared off Ryan.
And Ryan ultimately ended up having to change schools.
And that's the end of my dating history.
The whole school thinks I have this great attitude because I come from a wealthy and powerful family and also because I'm in the group of cheerleaders.
But, that's my escape to be free from reality.
My dad hated it at first, but I cried one whole night, so he agreed.
Rebecca did the same, and now we go to the same school, same class, and we are in the same cheer leading group
We are like the best friends ,we practically grew up like sisters.
But Rebecca is a few months older than me.
She is eighteen now and ill turn eighteen in the next six months

I have seen you since you were a day old.
So don't tell me about the one and only , the great Mr. Holt.
Now just wear this little black dress, shave ,scrub and wear the makeup.
We don't want you to look like a third-grader do we?
And most importantly when you are done, wear those sweatshirt and sweats.
I have packed heels for us in my bag" Rebecca grins as she lifts her bag up like she has figured it all.
And I have a very great feeling ,like a gut feeling which is screaming at me saying that the night will end bad.
Like you can sense it
like the deeper senses inside you
But I don't argue anymore , it's going to be her birthday when the clock ticks at twelve
So I nod my head ,not wanting to argue anymore and whine about the same problems I'm facing since I was born.
"Okay.
Let's do this"

I let out the breath, I was holding on as I notice our big mansion disappear as Rebecca drives fast, like one of those car scenes in action movies, when the enemies try to attack you from behind
And when we are out of our block she scowls out happily like we did, like we won and beaten all those goons who were trying to get us.
My father was busy on something, he didn't pay much attention to my lies or my shaking voice when I told him I'm going to stay in Rebecca's house tonight as her father was working late again and that we might probably watch pride and prejudice or frozen again.
He just nodded off his head as he told, his voice stressed
"Go to bed on time
And tomorrow no missing out or going late to the school"
And I nodded happily , as I rushed out sweating through all the layers off the clothes I was in.
"Are you sure your father is not coming home tonight?" I ask Rebecca, who pulls on to the highway
"Nah
Your dad and my dad is planning on this attack on someone. I couldn't hear his name, it started with a 'D'
Like trapping him or getting him arrested.
And that's where my father will be tonight.
So don't worry" Rebecca smiles confidently and I sigh out of relief again.
Maybe the night is not going to be that bad
But my left eye keeps on blinking hard, even when I'm trying to control it.
And this can be a bad sign?
"Where are we going?" I ask her finally, pushing all of my silly thoughts
It's her birthday and I should be the one to do all planning and all this surprise stuff, like a good friend
But here, all the responsibilities is on her shoulder tonight
"We are going to a club " she grins ,screaming the words out loud
"What ?" I ask ,my voice comes out too loud and shook not able to believe her words.
"You heard me right baby.
We are clubbing
Just imagine, all the booze.
And we can dance all night ,jamming to the music.
Mainly the hot dudes
God ,I'm picking a man tonight for myself" Rebecca winks in my direction and I frown
Knowing the night will not end up good
"There is no way it's going to happen
The minute we are out of our car and in the long line of people waiting to get in.
Our parents will be informed, how their daughters are at the club, and we will be rushed home back.
Probably grounded for a month if they see us in the slut outfit we are wearing tonight " I mutter in one breath.
Wanting her to understand
