CHAPTER 2: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

1272 Words
Today was an extraordinary morning! I woke up with an unusual burst of energy, feeling eager and thrilled about the day ahead. As I sprang out of bed, I made a beeline for my wardrobe, where I carefully selected my outfit for the day. I took my shower and I stared at the mirror practicing how to relate with my classmates at school. I opted for a chic white tennis skirt, paired it with sleek black sneakers, and layered a crisp, long-sleeve white shirt with a trendy black vest. It felt vivified to deviate from my usual routine and reintroduce the school commute into my daily schedule after such a long time. As I descended the stairs, Aunt Stella was so amazed, she almost choked on her food. "Wow! You look fantastic, mi amor." She cried. "Thanks, aunt, I'll be on my way," I said stepping out of the house. "Bonne Journee," "Merci beaucoup." As spies, it's essential to have a grasp of every language and my aunt usually helped me to practice. I hopped on my motorbike and raced straight to school. As I arrived, I confidently removed my helmet and immediately captured everyone's attention. It was an exhilarating and electrifying moment. Despite feeling a bit out of place, I embraced the unexpected attention. Little did I know that a kind boy my age would step forward and volunteer to carry my bag, adding an unexpected twist to my first-day experience. I turned down his offer because I was completely puzzled by their suspiciously nice behaviour. I was hoping to find a friend among them, especially since my aunt had told me so much about her friends. I was determined to have one true friend before graduating. In my first class, as I was being introduced, there was a lot of whispering among my classmates. Suddenly, a guy spoke up and said, "Wow, you're so hot!" I felt myself blushing intensely before managing to thank him. It was unexpected, but I have to admit, it was quite a bold move on his part! As our eyes locked, I couldn't help but notice the striking shade of blue in his eyes, it reminded me of my island ocean. He stood tall with a well-defined, athletic build, and his sun-kissed blonde hair perfectly complemented his radiant skin. A wide, charming smile graced his face, instantly brightening my day. After this captivating moment, my teacher gestured for me to take my seat, and the lecture began. I couldn't believe how dull the classes were, especially since I already knew most of the material from my aunt and homeschool tutors. The only thing that made it interesting was the persistent boy who kept trying to get my attention. He never missed a chance to talk to me or to scare off anyone else who dared to approach. He was quite the nuisance! As I was getting ready to leave after the final bell, he approached me once again at the parking lot outside the building. "Hi, I'm Sal, nice to meet you?” he said, waiting for me to share my name. "I'm not interested," I replied coolly as I revved up my motorcycle and pulled out of the parking spot. 'Okay, not interested, well hope you don't mind me talking to you.' 'Unfortunately, I mind a bunch, so if you may excuse me I need to be on my way home.' "Why the cold treatment if I may ask? I have been trying to talk to you all day,” he said with a really sad tone. My heart was melting. Maybe I'd been too hard on him. I couldn't help but smile a little. "If you stop bothering me, then I’ll stop the cold treatment." "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel irritated."He said with a sad look. "It’s cool." "Let's start over." He brought his hands out. 'Sure.' I reciprocated the gesture by extending my hand for a handshake, and he pulled me in for an intense hug. I could feel his bisects around me, and his hulky features drew me in; he had the chest of a Greek god, and I wanted to be his goddess right then. His hands crept down to my waist, and reality hit me. I pushed myself out of the fantasy, hopped on my bike, and sped away without looking back. Aunt and I were talking about our day at home during dinner when she proceeded to tell me about her mission with Agent 246 and how he stroked her hand, her hips, and their numerous displays of affection. I was in a lot of discomfort, but she appeared to enjoy their time on mission. I hadn't seen her so cheerful in a long time. "He looked into my eyes and I believed that we were about to share a kiss, but…" I interjected abruptly. My ears had heard enough of the missions that night. “Well, my day went well; the school was unconventional, however I expected more; the teachers were simple, and I'm up to date on almost all of their lessons... However, a particular person stuck out because he was always bothering me. Such a jerk. Guess what he did.” “Did he try to hit you?” she questioned with a worried face. “No, think aunt Stella.” “He tried to touch you?” she said more concerned. “No, think harder.” “He bullied you?” Then she paused. “Sil, if this guy is really bothering you then I’d have to report it to your school. I want you to feel safe because your safety is my priority.” “No, that's too far aunt. He hugged me without my consent.” “'Your what?” Aunt laughed hysterically. “How did it feel?” she inquired with a wide smile and a 'I'm so engaged in this conversation, Sil tell me more' expression. “It felt strange, disgusting, like garbage.” I spoke it with dislike, yet it was the exact opposite. “'Oh my dear Silva, I am sure he likes you and wants to get to know you more.” She stated this while eating her salad. “Well, I am not interested.” “Why not?” she asked, nearly choking on her salad. “He isn’t good looking?” “'Nothing, he's simply not my type.” I spoke with a cold expression on my face. “Do you have someone else in mind, mi amor?” She replied with an amusing look. If only she knew I couldn't give up thinking about Agent 246. As I sat there, the lovely image of him travelled across my thoughts. I became attracted to his light-skinned physique, hazel-colored eyes, and brown hair. His smile captured my heart, and his ripped abs made me feel... My thoughts had been disrupted when I realised I was sitting at the dinner table, smiling like a crazy person lost in their thoughts right in front of my aunt's eyes. “I decided to not bother you there so you can dream about whoever is the lucky gentleman. I didn't expect you to return to earth so quickly because you looked like a love-sick puppy.” She said with a wide grin. “Aunt, that's gross; I wasn't daydreaming about anyone.” I said, blushing slightly. Why were my feelings always written on my face? I detested it. “I know you, Sil.” She remarked, planting an affectionate kiss on the top of my head as she went to take care of our dishes.
