CHAPTER 1: INTRO
It was a cold night, the most silent night the world had ever encountered.
Suddenly the silence was broken by the hoarse voice of Mr Richie as he had just completed reading through the written contract handed to him by Mr Salvador.
"It's a deal then," Mr. Richie said, sealing the most crucial agreement of his life.
The air was cool but the atmosphere was heated. This deal was one of the biggest deals Mr Richie had ever signed since the beginning of his company.
"Finally, I can't wait for us to get down to business," said Mr. Salvador, a wide grin spreading across his face. As he signalled his bodyguards to take the briefcase Mr Richie held. He examined Mr Richie and continued, “This is going to be fun.” Then he left the office escorted by his guards.
Mr Richie stood up with a smile in his office as he drank his tequila. “Finally. A great start.” He let out putting his glass down on his well-furnished office desk.
The Richie family is one of the wealthiest, most influential, and most privileged families in the country, and this deal was going to take their business and legacy to the next level.
Presently, Mr. Richie is standing in front of his mirror, recalling the statement that forever changed his life. It's been three years since he signed that contract, and his life has undergone a dramatic transformation.
He stands in front of the mirror, cradling his baby girl, as a young slender physique woman with brunette-colored hair enters the room with a letter in her hand she looks worried and fearful as her hands tremble. She breaks the silence.
"This place is no longer safe for her. We have to take action, Steve. It's unbearable," she says, tears streaming down her face. She tries to hold back her sobs, but she can't contain her emotions, so she hands the letter to him. Steve stares at the letter in dismay.
Steve, a man in his late twenties, with grey eyes and a hulky physique gently grasps her hand and pulls her close, offering a reassuring embrace as she rests her head on his strong chest, seeking solace. "I'll protect her and make sure nothing harms her," he vows, determined to safeguard both his baby and his wife.
"Steve, I'm not willing to take any risks. Let's go with plan B," she declares, her tone steely and resolute. Steve nods in agreement, realizing that keeping them safe won't be as easy as he initially assumed.
16 years later…
I can't believe how amazing it feels when he touches me. I've never experienced anything like it before. And the best part? My aunt knows about us! Every time I see him, his smile lights up the entire place. It's like he's always beaming with joy. As I sit here in my bikini, I can't help but feel empowered by his smile. It's as if I'm wearing his smile too.
The sun on this island is just incredible. I know it might sound crazy, but I'm starting to think of the island and its sun as my true love.
It's not entirely my fault, though. I've spent fifteen years on this island with my Aunt Stella, no school, and no friends. I've never even visited my parents. For the past eleven years, I've been undergoing intense defence training and working as a spy for a major agency.
My life is unconventional for a teenager.
One thing I love is going on a mission. They make me feel alive and confident in ways I never thought possible. I get to explore the outside world and travel during my missions. Well, I still really crave a normal life.
"I knew you'd be here," Aunt Stella said as she entered the room. She's been my closest companion for fifteen years, filling the roles of mom, dad, brother, sister, and teacher. Her average height, light complexion, and perfectly curly hair often lead people to mistake her for my older sister. She possesses a stunning hourglass figure that never fails to turn heads wherever we go.
"Aunt, you’re back early. How was the mission?" I asked eagerly. As I said sitting up from my deck chair.
"Awesome," she replied with a mischievous grin. "Guess what, Sil?"
"What?" I exclaimed, leaning in to hear better.
"Agent 246 asked me to go on a mission with him!" she said, brimming with excitement. It was clear that she had a major crush on him.
"Got it," I replied, flashing a subtle grin as I returned to my original position.
"What's with the sudden change, mi amor?" she inquired.
I couldn't confess that I've harboured a massive crush on Agent 246 ever since I became a spy at 14. The problem?
Well, Agent 246 is in his thirties, making me an unlikely option. Watching her effortlessly charm him makes me envious. It may sound strange, but I find myself jealous of my aunt when it comes to the opposite gender.
“It’s absolutely nothing to worry about. I’m fine.” I spoke.
"Guess what? Your parents have agreed to let you start school!" she said with so much excitement.
I couldn't contain my joy and gave her a big hug and showered her with kisses. She's always talked about how amazing school is, how to make friends, and how to be both smart and beautiful. She even gave me tips on finding a great friend.
I used to walk by schools after my missions just to observe how the students dressed and talked. I even made notes of the latest slang so I could fit in when I started. I've always loved watching teen movies to keep up with the trends. I envied each student as I monitored them, their lives were so perfect, they had friends, parents who cared to take them to school and most of all a bright future where they could choose to be anything they wanted to be.
They were free and I wasn’t.
“Hey, another information Sil. Your mom sent me some money for you to go shopping at the mall for your new clothes!” she let out.
Even though I'm staying at my aunt's house, it's great to feel connected to my parents. I've always wondered why I couldn't be like other kids and why I had to be homeschooled for fifteen years, it bothered me. The worst part of it was that no one gave me an answer.
We went shopping and it was a blast! I found some awesome teenage outfits online and bought the absolute best ones.
I walked into the living room threw myself on our soft cushion sofa and stared at the c
handelier. I was very excited my life was finally turning out to be great.
